I just had an amazing experience with Hourans and I'm so grateful to them! I needed a standing spray of flowers sent for a funeral, and had placed an order with a different florist, only to be informed the night before the service that they couldn't fulfill it! I'm on the west coast so when I got the news of the cancelled order, it was already 11pm in IL. And the service was at 11am the following morning. I placed an order but did not expect that it had any hope of being prepared and delivered in the first three hours they opened their shop. To my amazement they confirmed that it had been delivered in time! They went completely above and beyond what any other florist would do, and I would use them again in a heartbeat. 100% satisfaction guaranteed? Not at Houran's. I ordered a birthday floral arrangement for delivery on 9/27. Arrangement was delivered on 9/27, but left of a front porch in direct heat and sunlight to wither and wilt until recipient came home. Floral arrangement looked nothing like what was ordered. Vase contained a handful of half-dead daisies and dried greenery. Hourans didn't even remotely try to replicate ordered floral arrangement. You know the $4 bunches at grocery stores? Well, that was what recipient received. I called on 9/28 to express my concern and asked for a new floral arrangement to be delivered. I was begrudgingly told they would deliver, but of course, that never happened. Recipient still has the same half-dead flowers which are now officially dead. Thanks for the hard lesson Hourans -- will never order from you again. Very disappointed in your product and customer service. Not sure how you have managed to stay in business for so long. My mother received flowers in her hospital room. They died within days. Hourans told me to bring them in, which is impossible when you are in a hospital room all day. They took no responsibility for the stale flowers. Instead kept telling me I should have brought them in. The Boquet should last more than three or four days. read more

The employee who placed my order demonstrated poor customer service & failure to discuss price at the time of order. Upon delivery, the message on the card was incorrect. Most of the balloons did not even hold up for 24 hours. When I called and discussed my concerns with the Manager, he never apologized once and was very unprofessional. I called from out of state to order a funeral arrangement for my aunt who passed away. I talked initially to a female who really didn't seem to know what she was doing and after a short while I was transferred over to a male, I told him the arrangement that I found online that they offered, and told him that there would be family members there to see the arrangement since I was ordering from out of sate. He said that they would make it very nice....well... NOT SO! My Sister-In-Law sent me a photo of the arrangement that I paid well over $95 for. I could have done better myself had I been able to attend the funeral. I wish I could post a photo of what was produced vs. what was promised from them online. Very dissatisfied. I received feedback from the family of how awful the arrangement looked. I will not be using this florist again. I only gave Hourans a rating because they actually sent flowers, but then, I paid for flowers and delivery, so perhaps I should only give no stars, but then I wouldn't be able to post my opinion of their work. read more

Do not order flowers here! They sent brown wilted roses to a funeral on my behalf and I was embarrassed to death. Also if you order through FTD and upgrade your bouquet to premium you still only get the cheapest one.
