I was in town visiting family and was desperate for a massage so I came here! I found Houma Massage Co online and left them a voicemail inquiring about which massage therapist would be best for firm/deep pressure. Someone got back to me promptly and suggested I see Cagney. I was able to book with Cagney for the next day via their website which was very easy to use. Upon arrival I was impressed by the building itself which was a modern, clean and bright space that had multiple businesses inside and clear signage so I found Houma Massage very easily. The ambiance of the Houma Massage was very relaxing with dim lighting and lovely music playing. Cagney was incredible as she listened to my complaints about pain on the left side of my neck and shoulder. I got a 90 minute massage and after felt significantly better, which I've never experienced before. She let me know that she worked out a lot of the knots in the areas with pain and that the rest should undo themselves. The next day I felt 100% better which was really mind blowing. I've gotten tens of massages and I've never felt immediate relief before. Cagney really spent her time on the area and I'm very grateful. I would definitely recommend Houma Massage and am looking forward to my next massage with them! Originally scheduled an appointment, the LMT I requested became ill so rather than taking my scheduled appointment at the scheduled time. I opted to reschedule at a later date. Well the site said there was an appointment available 3 weeks from now so I booked it and got a confirmation. Then I got an email the appointment was canceled (strange) supposedly because the schedule was full, but upon checking back about a hour later those appointment times had not been blocked out. I wrote what I thought was a polite email to the business asking that if the schedule was full why did it allow me to book the appointment? No reply? So, in an attempt to get a appointment scheduled I tried to book an appointment 6 or 7 weeks from today to get a red notice that I was not able to book online appointments. So I tried calling the business to get a message this number has been disconnected or it out of service. OMG Really, for everyone that doesn't know this is the message you get when your number has been blocked. To confirm I called from another line and I got through to the business and left a polite yet I am confused message which simply boiled down to I tried to reschedule an appointment, the schedule said it was available, you canceled it, and it is still showing as still available? Please call me. Now had I did anything to deserve this I wouldn't right a review. They have my polite voicemails and I have the emails. Edit: 01/16/2024 @ 2:26 pm Wow, really inappropriate behavior? I asked for a certain LMT yes, there was no indication at the time of the first appointment she wasn't taking new clients 4 weeks ago when I scheduled. I was rescheduled with someone else without reason until I asked and it was due to illness that can be understood. However, when I chose to reschedule with the original therapist (due to positive reviews) you now say I refused other therapists? Just because I tried to reschedule and then question why you canceled me. Personally, I think it is you that is discriminating against me. Yes I said that. How else do you describe the erratic reply you just wrote. You wrote I am now banned, ha! You did that well in advance to your reply as I described in my original review inappropriate behavior? What for expecting customer service or an explanation? Doctor's offices reach out to change appointments. Other places ask if I would rather see someone else. I simply tried to reschedule, then asked why I was canceled. Jeez. Full disclosure: I've never had a massage in my 58 years. I chose this place and I chose the owner based on glowing reviews it is that simple. I was gonna see if this could help that is all I wanted. So much for a first impression. Oh, it says Jessica D. I was told you were out sick today? So, I got your voicemail, sorry I had my headphones plugged in at the time and my ear buds were on the desk and not in my ears so I didn't hear your return call.
