I went to check out (I did the Big Easy on ramp and have also checked out Crossfit NOLA)…read more This one was recommended by a friend who goes every morning with her husband at 5am, she loves it. it sounds like they do most of their classes outdoor on the turf but they also have an indoor area to workout as well and do classes with a separate area for rowing. They have a very advanced online/phone app that allows you to keep track of your workout, sign up for classes, see what the workout of the day is. Best of the 3 cross fits in the city. They don't require an on-ramp which is good and bad. On ramp is kind of boring and anti-climactic but some could argue necessary. I did on ramp at big easy because it was cheaper than cross fit nola and I wasn't sure if I was going to stick with it. I learned a lot about cross fit, positioning, moves, etc but wish it was just 2 or 3 classes instead. I also realized that maybe cross fit wasn't for me. The owner of this gym is very informative and helpful and obviously seems to care about the people who join (and don't join). I would recommend this place to anyone. For the first 100 people it's only $99 a month for unlimited classes. Unlike the other places, it's 45 minutes per class vs 1 hour, which isn't necessarily a bad thing and again you get unlimited classes. they have also started an endurance class mondays and wenesdays (thinking long distance running and rowing). not sure cross fit is for me (not really into the whole weightlifting tons of weight thing) but if i do decide to do it in the future will probably join here. he also has an option of 10 classes for $80. also a phenomenal deal considering other cross fits are about 20 per class.

Here at Supra the Coaches are great and encouraging, however behind the scenes the owner cuts expenses and fails to provide needed equipment at the request of his members. Prior to crossfit I was working out 3 days a week doing a boot camp workout, so when that ended and I decided to try crossfit I thought I was in semi good shape. Haha, what an eye opener. Yes , I had heard the CrossFit horror stories but was willing to give it a try. I started at a different gym and they were awesome and helped me to get going. That gym closed 2 years ago and I and many of the other members of our CrossFit family found Crossfit Full Bore South. This is such a great place! My crossfit family has grown with the coaches and members. This is such a great place. The coaches are amazing, they work with you, they never judge you if you can't do all of the moves in a workout. They work with you to help you do the best you can within your abilities. The goal is to be healthy and improve your life, not get injured and no longer be able to workout. I work out with men and women of all ages, (I could be the Mother of most of them)and there is never any competition to be better than you. Everyone supports each other. I do my best to go to CrossFit 4 times a week. The workouts are tough and there are times I think I just can't make it, but a put a goal in front of me and charge forward. It feels great when I complete my workout. Never doubt yourself, Crossfit is an attainable goal and the coaches, owners and members of #crossfitfullboresouth are the greatest. Thank you all.

The location is in a strip mall with decent parking. The facility is larger than the OT I frequent in my neighborhood. When I called and told the staff I was going to be late, thankfully the staff at the Uptown location rescheduled me for the last class of the day without issue. Will was my instructor and has got to be one of my favorite instructors ever. Wow - what a pleasant surprise! This place is everything I wanted in a gym and honestly more. The facility is massive - it was formerly a big box retailer, so it spans several huge separate areas: a big cardio section, a sports-specific field turf zone, dedicated studio space for classes, a calisthenics area, and an enormous weight training floor with at least 15 squat rack setups (power racks, I believe). Even on a busy afternoon, there was zero waiting for squat areas - that's huge for me! The staff was super friendly right away and offered me a tour since it was my first time. I politely declined because I wanted to explore on my own, but they were welcoming and helpful. The men's restrooms were decently clean (better than some other gyms I've been to), and there's a sauna that I'm excited to try in the next few days. For the price - memberships starting at just $9.99/month - this is an absolute steal. If you're in the Marrero area (or nearby), definitely check this place out. It's a game-changer compared to smaller or more crowded spots. Highly recommend!
