I am in town only for a week and walked into DD Crossfit to make sure I could keep working out…read morewhile I am here. The drop-in process was very easy for someone visiting from another Affiliate. During the first class the coach called me by name and was very helpful, both to me and the rest of the class. The whole class was very friendly! Granted, I have taken the Crossfit Kool-aid and can't do without regular exercise anymore - I have found a home with Crossfit and feel like they have found the perfect balance of training for strength, endurance, mobility and flexibility! As a 56 year old man who once went nearly 16 years without any deliberate exercise, getting involved with Crossfit has been a life-changing experience. I've lost over 40 lbs, recovered the stamina I had 20 years ago and, in some ways, become stronger than I've ever been! This gym is clean, friendly, and the coaches take personal care of each athlete and work with them at their own level. I recommend this Affiliate without any reservation.

I initially had some tech issues & was looking to do the open gym. The coaches welcomed me & my bf, fixed the tech issues, made sure I knew where equipment was, and that I had enough knowledge/ experience to hit my desired workout. Even offered us help/opinions - so much better than just being hands off. The owners were fabulous! Not to mention the kitties! I love the kitties & gym & will definitely be back!

Joined using their Elements/On ramp program. I had never done CrossFit before and I was really glad…read morethey had this program. Been doing regular Crossfit classes here for about 3 months and I love it! Breakdown: Coaches: I found the coaches to all be really nice! They definitely know what they're doing and they all have different areas of expertise. A lot of them have a background in some sort of PT or exercise. Equipment: Up to date equipment! I have yet to see any broken equipment. They mostly use Rogue equipment, which I personally prefer. Environment: Very clean. I've been here in the late evening and they have someone clean the gym everyday, which I appreciate with how much people sweat here. They also have a 2nd location on Carnegie Ave closer to Fort Bliss. It's smaller but it's still clean, fully equipped and really nice. People: Everyone is super nice and I the best aspect of Crossfit is that every one cheers each other on despite your skill level. People here come from different fitness backgrounds but they all want to improve and be the best they can be. Classes: I like that they have early morning classes and late classes. I like the regular Crossfit classes but they also offer FemmeFit (Crossfit for women), Crossfit Kids, and Fit Club (Weightloss program). They also have Open gym's on Thursdays so you aren't constrained to just doing a preset WOD all the time. Price: It's a very good membership price especially for Crossfit and the area. And trust me, I shopped around. People can complain all they want about the prices here, they offer a tremendously great deal for the quality you get. Remember, you get what you pay for. Yes, you can take "crossfit classes" at EP Fitness, but it's far from the same quality, plus they aren't Crossfit Affiliated. Give it a try, I don't think it hurts to try, and I think it's been one great experience.

This is by far the most accommodating and welcoming gyms around. If you're looking to get in shape or dropping in from out of town make sure to check out Bull Strong!

Okay, this studio gets it. Hot Box in El Paso is the real deal when it comes to hot classes -- no…read moregimmicks, no fluff, just pure fire (literally). I dropped in for a hot Pilates class, and from the moment I walked in, everyone was smiles, greetings, and genuine warmth. The vibe was welcoming, the energy was high, and the class? Next level. I've taken a lot of hot Pilates and yoga over the years, but never with a male instructor -- and wow, he absolutely delivered. From start to finish, the class was intentional, challenging, and perfectly balanced. We used bands, dumbbells, blocks, and towels -- everything was provided, which I love. The room was dark, the music was vibey (think transient EDM that keeps you in the zone), and the heat was real. This isn't infrared -- it's that old-school, steamy, humid heat that pushes you past your limits. Pro tip: hydrate hard 24-48 hours before you go. Bring a big water bottle (or two). I had to sit out part of the squat series because I started to feel lightheaded -- but the instructor immediately noticed, turned a fan on me, and checked in multiple times. That level of attentiveness is rare. He even handed out chilled, essential-oil-soaked towels at the end of class and pressed them gently on our eyes and temples while cueing deep breaths. All the senses were hit. There's no shower (well they've removed the knobs so you cannot access the shower , when I asked about the shower the owner explained how hard it would be to manage 1 shower and 2 classrooms full of folks wanting to use shower- which I totally get ), but there are three bathrooms -- two downstairs and one upstairs , plenty of places to change clothes after class-- plus a massive room & cubby area to drop your stuff so it never feels crowded. The studio itself is beautiful, with a bold mural at the front and such a great community vibe. A regular even helped me out mid-class -- total team energy. This is not a beginner-friendly class, and I mean that in the best way. It's intense, sweaty, and humbling -- exactly what you want when you sign up for something called Hot Box. I've practiced yoga for about 20 years all over the country, and this studio officially made my top three nationwide. The drop-in fee was $30, and it was worth every penny. My only regret? Not snagging that cute Hot Box sweater before class (front desk was empty afterward). Lesson learned: buy your swag before you get drenched. If you're looking for a studio that's tough, authentic, and packed with good vibes -- Hot Box is it. Come hydrated, come ready, and come to sweat.
