I have been taking Agnes classes for 2 years ( took a break while pregnant ) and started back up a month post partum. In the beginner class, you can take it easy as you need if you're starting out and gradually add more to challenging yourself. She changes up her flow and class every week, so you are consistently working different areas of the body. I took yoga classes at random and used to feel it a slow boring waste of time more or less a relaxing class that does "stretching". I love to lift and do intense endurance cardio. It wasn't until going here consistently that I was blown away with the fitness aspect of yoga- the strength/flexibility/core stability/etc. involved. You will be challenged more than you possibly think and I promise the health benefits, both mentally and physically, will surprise you! I highly recommend Melt and the classes here. I loved that Dana included moves and explanations to help with common health topics like lung development and gas. Dana's knowledge and background in early childhood education is invaluable and she finds a way to connect with every child. Her dedication and love for kid's yoga goes beyond the weekly class and she even does fun videos my daughter loves to do at home. I recently joined the Mom's yoga class on Tuesdays taught by one of Dana's trained teachers. Laura was very kind, knowledgeable and easy to follow. The class was challenging, but as a beginner, I had no problem following along and felt very comfortable, thanks to her guidance. I left feeling more relaxed and ready to take on the rest of the week. We have also had a few private events hosted by SFY and they were all so fun and well planned. We definitely recommend for birthday parties (children and adults) and play dates. Overall, I highly recommend SFY. You wouldn't find a better kids yoga practice around! It is the highlight of our week.

Dana made it fun and really does a great job connecting with the kids. Today was the first day of school and new situations or change can make my 7 year old anxious. Camp gave my daughter some tools to use beforehand. It really set the precedence for the day and I'm seeing a powerful positive impact on her. We've also used the relaxation techniques at bedtime and helped her busy brain to rest. Overall since she's been coming to yoga classes at sweet feet I've noticed more contentment and serenity. I had no idea what I was doing day 1 but my practice grows with each class. The instructors are kind, funny, energetic, and skilled at teaching and cueing the moves so everyone is doing them correctly and safely. Not only that but the community always brings the same energy and makes the studio a safe and fun place to work out. The classes have enough repetition to build strength and form but enough differences to keep you on your toes (sometimes literally). I haven't run into any of the issues that some of the negative reviews here have, so I can't speak to my experience trying to freeze my membership or anything like that. I also have not tried classical pilates to compare. But personally, I feel like I get my money's worth every time and even with my busy schedule it is never a challenge to book classes.
