Let me preface this by saying that Susana T. (the gal that left the negative comment after creating…read morethis page for the sole purpose of being malicious) is a liar, and frankly, quite unstable. She is highly upset that the owner of this business (Sarah) & the wonderful lash technician (Destoni) who was to be of service to her did not accommodate her a FULL HOUR after her original appointment time. Susana was getting her nails done, informed Sarah that she would be 45 MINUTES LATE & apparently expected them to be okay with that. After Sarah politely reiterated her late policy and stated that Susana would have to reschedule as well as pay for her missed service, Susana became disrespectful and irate. She called Sarah names repeatedly, harassing her all hours of the night, and created this false narrative to somehow present herself as a victim. She took her harassment further by involving other unsuspecting clients and leaving negative comments on others' reviews from as far back as 3 years ago! She tried her best to play victim and make Sarah out to be the villain, but Think Blink's many loyal clients saw through that smoke immediately. Sarah has proven throughout her career that she is passionate as well as professional. She treats her clients and employees with the utmost respect and delivers her services with joy and expertise. She takes pride in her business and that is evident in the way she treats everyone, employees and clients alike. True to her nature, Sarah did what she could to ensure that Susana was taken care of while simultaneously enforcing her policy as any successful business owner would. Unfortunately, Susana is clearly one of those clients who will raise heaven and hell to get their way and when they don't, will do what they can to paint the business in a negative light. That much is clear considering the great lengths Susana has gone to to slander Sarah's name and business. It's very sad and I hope Susana gets the help she needs and move on from this situation. All of this trouble is really not worth it just because you didn't get your way even though you were clearly wrong.

This review is about the atrocious customer service and lack of professionalism and class the owner possesses. I'd like to preempt this by saying I was threatened by her when I informed her that I would write this review, (see her last post). If you support businesses that treat their clientele like dirt, I highly suggest you visit Think Blink. I was running a bit late to my appointment today due to an Uber screw-up. For the record, I have never been late, in fact I've always been early. When I made my very first appointment at the salon I was never sent a confirmation. When I called the day before to confirm, I was told that the owner was in the hospital indefinitely, messing not only with my daily schedule but also with my eyelash schedule. Fast forward to today, my brand new nail technician was finishing up my manicure when I realized the time, she sent Think Blink a text (at 5:25) letting them know we were running late and that it wasn't a problem to reschedule at all. My appointment was scheduled for 5:15. As you can see in the attached photos, I received a reply saying I would have to reschedule because they had other clients and that I would have to pay full price for today's service (which I never received) before they would book the next service. (I was never informed of any of their policies) As soon as my nails were done, I ran three doors down to let them know that I found their cancellation policy to be absolutely ridiculous -only to find the salon- lights out and doors locked (no other clients in sight)....hmmmm. I went back to the nail salon to wait for my Uber and left a message to Think Blink letting them know how I felt about their policy and that I would not be using their services anymore. Less than two minutes later, the frantic owner of Think Blink burst into the nail salon, demanding that I speak with her back at her salon; making a scene which everyone around me found completely crass. When I refused to accompany her back to Think Blink, the owner harassed me with phone calls over and over, using words such as, "you better listen" and speaking to me as if I were a child. Below this review please see the screenshots I could fit of the text messages between myself and this horrible beast. Not only did she embarrass me in my nail salon, but she mistreated a client, which is against the rules of professionalism. I'm from NYC and have spent my life in the top salons in NY, London, Miami, and LA. I have NEVER seen such behavior from a business owner. Side note: I am a 20%+ tipper and always have been. I have listened to the owner trash talk her other clients before they arrive and after they depart when she thought I wasn't listening. Does she do lashes well? Yeah, she's alright. But the overall feeling in that salon is pure negativity -despite the pink flamingo decor and chocolates, an obvious diversion tactic to keep the clientele's attention off of the trash talking, negligent behavior of the staff. Anyone who gets eyelash extensions knows this is not an inexpensive service and deserves to be treated with a smile and respect when choosing a salon. You will find neither at Think Blink. Don't put a penny into this business when there are many better ones in the area. Obviously this owner was never taught the phrase, "the customer is always right."

Shante made my eyebrows look better than they have in years. I've moved from Charleston to Boston to New York to Ann Arbor (Michigan), and I've tried threading in all of them. The only place that comes close to Shante is in New York, but the experience here was so much better. I wasn't able to get in at my regular place before traveling home to Columbia for the holidays, and I found Shante online. I booked with her and asked to bring my grandmother along, so in back to back appointments, she did a 28 year old's eyebrows and an 80 year old's eyebrows. For what it's worth, we both have naturally straight, bushy brows that don't like to cooperate with any shape imposed on them. We left looking like we were blessed with natural, beautifully arched eyebrows: not over the top, but perfectly shaped and groomed. All we did was threading, and I didn't fill them in at all for a couple of weeks after Shante worked her magic. Now, I watch her Instagram feed and am filled with jealousy of all the beauties who are able to have this experience all the time.
