I make a reservation for non-smoking room, when I entered the room, it smelled horrible. I went back to front desk and the lady said that it was the only room left because they were overbooked. The lightbulb broken, door broken, walls dirty, no hand soap, no control remote. trash every and smell bad everywhere.

Result of walking on the floor for a few minutes.

Where is the option for 0 stars?! This place is terrible. This is the place that when you check in you know to start looking for bed bugs. And I guess you get what you pay for. The bathroom floor is the nicest thing in here. There are stains on the shower curtain, in the tub, on the entrance door. The furniture needs to be upgraded. The carpet is FILTHY. My husband barely put his socks on and walked to put his shoes on and his socks were FILTHY. And we couldn't even get housekeeping. Smh. Don't let me start in the "breakfast". You walk in and they ask your room number and then ration out the small kids juice per person, 1 fruit per person and you choose muffin or fake waffle. TERRIBLE.

Stains on carpet, sheets, curtains, and towels. Kind of gross to see what looks like old blood on the bed and towels. Holes in curtains. Blowdryer and phone didn't work. Loud outside bc bums were playing a boombox and people talking loudly. The hotel wreaked of marijuana and alcohol. Sink was cracked. Missing door to refrigerator cabinet. Missing a chair to the table. One elevator out of service, pool out of service, fitness room out of service, and only two luggage carts for the entire hotel. The staff liked to lounge outside like it was a trailer park on 8-mile in a cheesy Eminem movie. Trashy. Would not recommend. Homeless man sleeping in the hallway of hotel

We checked into our room on the second floor, and while the room was okay, it smelled strongly of cigarette. An hour into being in our room we went out into the hallway and there was a homeless man sleeping a few feet away on the ground. We called the front to report it and got a "we"ll check it out". While waiting to see if they would come, ANOTHER homeless person walked in through the emergency exit that was right in front of our door walked back and forth a few times and left through the same exit. We waited for about 30 minutes for someone to come get the homeless guy but no one ever came. We didn't want to pass the homeless guy on the ground so we went out the same exit the other homeless guy had gone out and saw that the key lock on the outside was completely broken off, allowing anyone from outside to come in. We informed the guy at the front again about the homeless guy and the that the lock was broken off and he said "I have to put in a request for maintenance and wait" , seemingly not caring at all. The only nice staff was the cleaning staff.

    Remote didn't work.

Very fair price. The hotel is old, but clean. Very pleasant staff and there's a very basic restaurant in the parking lot that has wonderful margaritas. Unfortunately, the remote in my room did not work, so I watched my IPad, which I would have done anyway and the thermostat did not work, so I was hot all night! They have a free breakfast in the morning which included prepackaged bagel, breakfast sandwiches, fruit, cereal, juice and coffee. There's also a sink in the room, if that's something you like.

This isn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in... but you can definitely do better. I was in for a very quick business trip to Mo Valley. I found this place on Priceline for about $70 and I was swayed by the "Wyndham" affiliation and the free breakfast. You should not be like me. This is in the not-great section of town. They have lots of policies about deposits and not accepting cash and all of these signs at the front desk are red flags. More red flags - as I walked to my room, it became clear that a business is operating out of several hotel rooms on the second floor. They even have "Welcome" signs on the door. I'm guessing they're some sort of MLM/door-to-door sales-type operations? But it's weird that they're just working right there in the hall of the hotel. The room is OK. It's nothing fancy. The furniture seems to not go together and there is a lot of it but the room is functional. While not fancy, everything seemed clean and the WiFi was decent and free. The "breakfast" in the morning is an odd set up where you walk up to a table and can take a yogurt or granola bar. No coffee. Although there is an entire area dedicated to coffee in the lobby with signage. But still, not coffee anywhere. So that's also weird. This actually COULD be a decent place. There is an interesting sitting area up the winding staircase (there is also an elevator) and they could offer coffee and flavored waters and even a real breakfast. But right now, it's walking the line between advertising as a nicer place while operating as a slightly sketchy motel/SRO.

The girl at the front desk was super nice and friendly and checked us in very quickly. She offered us water and snacks. The room was very nice too. We had a queen bed with a tv in the room, coffee machine and fridge. No smell or anything in the room. Here were the problems however. The bed was lumpy along with the pillows. I woke up the following morning with back pain. They had told us breakfast was included so we went downstairs and again were disappointed. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cereal and fruit. Juice and coffee as well. The only good thing was probably the coffee. The eggs tasted like they were out of a carton and watered down. So my advice would be skip the breakfast and go somewhere else, which we later did.

There are water and ice fill up stations, two elevators and plenty of free parking. Breakfast is very basic, but there was a self pancake maker that we got a kick out of. The coffee is fresh- individually dispensed- comes out really hot. Also, there is a restaurant, coffee shop and gas station mart all in the same parking lot. This was due to other guests that were at the hotel, but there were saliva puddles all over the floor in one of the elevators. It was cleaned up by the next time we went in the elevator, so it was nice that they were able to clean it up relatively quickly.

My husband went to work and I stopped by the front desk to make sure there would be no interruption in my stay. I was told that they needed an additional $50 deposit per day. This wouldn't have been a problem if I had a credit card, I did not. I asked the front desk ladies (very friendly) if I could pay cash. They said no, and rules are rules. I thought of getting a prepaid visa card and they said that would work. Luckily my husband had a friend pick him up for work and left the key to the car. If that hadn't happened, I would have had to walk 6 miles round trip to the nearest store to get the prepaid visa to give the additional deposit. At one point I was warned that my key would stop working if I didn't give the deposit. This would have left my cat trapped in the room by herself, and me locked outside. Lol! Thank goodness it didn't come to that. Nef could have easily taken cash, or charged the additional deposit to either of the 2 credit cards used in the booking. His inflexability and crappy attitude were the only bad part about our stay. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable.

We were tripping out hard when I flipped the switches by the swing and the blue lights and moat began spewing water down fountain by the kitchen. This was amazing. I was literally jumping up and down when we entered the place. I am so impressed by how cool this place is, even with the things over time that have fallen into disrepair the detail overall is nothing short of impressive. Not sure how anyone can complain about something like this. The shower head has a rainfall head, the stones in the shower, to the shape of the mirror, it was all intentional. I saw nothing "icky" in selecting the specific stone-like accoutrements to complement the theme. There's a tv in the bedroom but why would you even wanna watch tv in a castle garden? COME ON!
