We arrived after pre paying at around 7pm. The surprise was that despite listing a front desk and…read morerestaurant/bar being staffed until 8pm or layer, no one was there. They had set aside our paperwork and keys and simply left. While we were happy to still get access to our room we were looking forward to grabbing a drink at the on-site bar. They also had some great trinkets in a case at the front desk that we were somewhat interested in, but couldn't purchase due to no staff. The accommodations were quite nice however. Definitely a good value even with being a bit out of town. It's a short drive in and easily accessible. The beds were among the more comfortable we experienced while in Germany. I understand and accept this decision, but entirely fail to understand why it took them five months to pass such key information to us. So if you plan an event there, you may want to be careful.

Why does the website not ask if one is interested in a parking space at 30 Euro per night? This would make it very clear that the parking at the hotel is not free. Still, I highly recommend the Holiday Inn in Zwickau.
