They had set aside our paperwork and keys and simply left. While we were happy to still get access to our room we were looking forward to grabbing a drink at the on-site bar. They also had some great trinkets in a case at the front desk that we were somewhat interested in, but couldn't purchase due to no staff. The accommodations were quite nice however. Definitely a good value even with being a bit out of town. It's a short drive in and easily accessible. The beds were among the more comfortable we experienced while in Germany. I would like to have rated higher, but due to the complete absence of staff I can't. They should update their hours listed or actually have their staff stay the hours posted.

We have sure been in hotels that have more wow-factor than this one, but it was very clean, very conveniently located and everyone was very friendly. I would not pick this as a prime holiday location nor would I do a 30+ min detour just to stay here, but other than that I would, if in need in the area, always book this again (actually, we just did ;-)
