Fantastic value in a beautiful, well-preserved and very clean hotel in central Brescia. Very close to the Vittorio metro stop and only ~10 min walk from the train station. I arrived early for check in but the front desk was able to find me a room very quickly. I was surprised by the amount of construction going on on my floor, but each day the workers and staff cleared the mess out of the hall so it was nice and clean in the evenings and mornings. My room was spacious and extremely clean, with a king size bed and a comfortable (albeit small) desk. There was also a kettle and coffee/tea service. The only negative was that I could hear some sounds from the room next door (toilet flushing, etc.). The best part was the bathroom: it was like walking into the 1920s! Breakfast (included) consisted of a great selection of pastries, breads, yoghurts, salad and meats and cheeses, plus juice and of course cafe, all served in the very pleasant dining room on the ground floor. Overall, I loved this hotel: 1920s charm but enough modern features (outlets in helpful places, etc.) to make it work for modern life. read more
