There was a club downstairs that was good for drinks and dancing. The floor was quite sticky though. They didn't have proper wine glasses downstairs at the club, so the bartender just used some funky rounded glass that looked pretty cool. But she didn't seem to know what she was doing, because she poured way less red wine for me than for my friend before me. Oh well. I don't drink that much anyway. The DJ started playing some really repetitive tunes, so then it started getting boring to dance to. But still good to check out for a bit.

It certainly felt cold enough at this outdoor oasis of hot alcoholic drinks, bon jovi classics, and vantage to watch people sledging down the main street. That's mainly because it's at 1400m and outside, so you won't miss it when you visit beautiful Bergün!

The price for a bottle (350ml) of an american indian pale ale, CHF 6.50, was okay, considering the costs of the import. After the first sip of the ice cold beer you won't regret the price ;) The place is really nice for ambitious beer-drinkers as well as for just having a after-work beer. The inside is quite dark and a bit stuffy (me and my friend were the first guests in there, so the later the evening the stuffier the air I guess). Just by the entrance is a small platform on which it's allowed to smoke indoors, because they cut some holes into the window. The tables are made out of piled up beer crates with a wooden board on it. A funny feature are the four swings! Apropos funny: DON'T FORGET TO GO DOWNSTAIRS TO THE TOILETS! There are some few seats outdoors as well, where you can sit along the wall and enjoy your beer. It would be nice if they had a beer tasting, so you could chose five different beers and try a small glass of each one.

The beers are pretty good. Overall the price is reasonable in comparison to elsewhere in town, and it has a very intimate mom & pop shop atmosphere which I enjoy. The stuff are very nice and the owner is too; she has a traditional Swiss, take-no-B.S. attitude -- helpful and efficient, very direct but personable. Most importantly, this is one of the only place that opens late or on weekends -- which is strange because one of the primary focuses of Davos is tourism. Anyway, definitely recommend you to check out the place!

We spent five or so nights here last February, and I'd say this is probably the best hotel in Arosa…read more(the other option is the Kulm). The architecture is quite interesting, since there is a significant contrast between the rustic main hotel, and the ultra-modern HUGE spa. The rooms are quite spacious, very well appointed, and all seemingly quite new. The bathrooms are awesome, with overhead rain showers, and they are all covered in the same granite they used in the spa. The views from the private balconies are great overlooking the mountain, especially at night. There are three restaurants in the hotel: large formal dining room, a more intimate upscale restaurant directly adjacent, and a more rustic, classically Swiss restaurant downstairs, complete with kegelbahn. All three restaurants are great. If you're in Arosa during the winter, you're probably there to ski. There is a ski shop on site with everything you need. I normally travel with my own skis, but I didn't want to schlep them all the way to Europe, and I'm glad I didn't. Tschuggen is pretty much ski-in, ski-out, and there is a really awesome monorail that takes guests directly from the hotel to the mountain. This was seriously one of the coolest monorails I've ever been in. The spa is one of the best I've ever seen; if not, then it was certainly the largest. The pool area is massive. The dry sauna is also quite large, and really well done in logs of wood. Every day during our stay there are special Aufguss sessions, which were always nice. I'd been skiing in Switzerland twice prior, once in Davos and the other time in St. Moritz. Arosa was my favorite, thanks in large part to the Tschuggen.
