The cons were; bad customer service with the front desk employees, the beds were stiff as a board, the pillows were also stiff, the bathroom smelled like mold/mildew. The elevator broke down as we were checking out and had to take the stairs( the staff didnt even offer help with luggage, we had to take three flights of stairs with our luggage in hand) we passed by three employees. Lastly we had to give up our wristbands that were given to us when we checked in, i asked the front end lady if i can keep it she said no, i asked if i can buy it so i can have it as a souvenir and she said no rudely. All this left us with a sour taste in our mouth, it ruined the trip to guayabitos...the beach was great...hotel no so great.

His wife on the other hand likes to argue with guests and blame them when things break or go wrong. We have been coming here for several years and only return because of the husband and the views. This place definitely leaves a lot to be desired, it could use an update and fix the locks on the doors and the holes in the windows. They allow A LOT of people into the 2bedroom bungalows. This trip we counted almost 12 in a two bedroom bungalow. That's fine, but when you have multiple bungalows all housing so many people it makes it extremely crowded and doesn't allow for all the guest to enjoy the pool or other amenities as the larger groups over power the small families vacationing. The management is not in control of their guests, the music is blaring into the late night/early morning with no consideration for other guests. The management lives on site so they should be able to hear what's going on. Guests partying all night, breaking beer bottles and making the ground unsafe for little ones to walk on. Like I said it's great when we get here early in the week and it's empty. It's when all the party people come out for the weekend that ruin the peaceful and beautiful atmosphere, add in the management that wants to fight about issues that were broken long before your arrival it makes for an interesting vacation. Will we be back who knows, maybe next year we will try for a new location.

If I could give this hotel more than five stars, I would! We recently stayed here from Jan 22nd thru 25th and the resort is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are clean & comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious as well as the shower. The rooms have a kitchen with a full refrigerator and all accessories are provided for you if you choose to cook a few meals in your room. There is also a restaurant at the hotel where you can sit outside and enjoy the most incredible dishes that are prepared by Chef Victor. The jack fruit chilaquiles were absolutely amazing! The staff at this hotel is gracious & polite to say the least. They will be accommodating from the moment you check in until you check out. Marco Madero runs the hotel and will make sure that anything you may need is taken care of promptly. You feel comfortable & safe at this establishment and you will definitely enjoy your stay at Costa Madero Resort!

When we were ready to leave the next day we were chased down by the room attendant accusing us of stealing a towel!! So they wanted us to pay for it. The amount they asked for they could have bought a whole set of them. It turned out that because we had booked two rooms the kids simply left a towel in the wrong room!! No tact! No smiles, certainly no apologies! Nothing. I'm Mexican and I always feel proud when I hear people say that Mexicans are so warm and friendly. Im happy to say the staff at Aurora resort do not represent our people. But they make us look bad. There are a lot of other more economical places to stay and with much friendlier staff.
