It was truly, truly *fine.* Reviews saying the rooms are cramped and outdated are right. The…read morefurniture is old and scuffed-up, and there's way too much furniture for the room. The bathroom is pretty bare bones, and the temperature control isn't always the most efficient. My minifridge also smelled so strongly of rotten banana it was unusable. All the public spaces are very nice, though: the lobby is clearly recently redone with a very nice bar area. The rooftop gym, sauna, and swimming pool are really quite breathtaking. If I could I would spend all my time up there. The dining area is also quite nice even if it isn't the most amazing hotel breakfast buffet I've had. Other pluses: The wifi was fast, and the staff were super helpful and kind. I also wouldn't choose to stay in this location if the choice was totally up to me. I was here for a conference and so it was convenient to be next door to the conference center. There are better places to stay in Prague, surely, but there are plenty worse spots too!

How awful can a Soviet holdover hotel be...well the Panorama Hotel will answer that question! From…read morethe acrid mold smell in the room to the "health center" that reminds one of the Wendy's "Swimwear" commercial from the 80's, the Panorama is a throwback to the 1960's, and not in a good way. If this area of Prague was called "Nowhere", the Panorama would be exactly in the middle of it. It gets two stars as I find one star ratings appear angry or are given by those over-reacting to a bad experience (and zero stars is not an option). Two-stars is a bit of an over-statement but still hope a dis-incentive to those who might consider this an option...don't. For those who are daring and still might be interested in a throwback Soviet-era experience...please reread this entire review. (We has a company event so we were basically "stuck" here) Good luck at the Paranormal Hotel!

I recently returned to Prague on business, and we had a room block here....so here I stayed…read more It's a nice hotel, in a GREAT location. Friendly staff, and typical European style room layout. All good. GREAT bar, with cold beer. Good food served right at the bar. The downsides, though, were pretty substantial: - the rooms are LOUD (meaning hall noise is room noise) and echo like crazy - breakfast was confusing as hell. Served in two locations, and would move around - I ended up getting double billed (prepaid, then charged again on checkout) So I like the place, but not sure I'd stay again unless they address the room issue. They ARE actively renovating - one hopes that this is addressed.

Did you know that Barceló Praha at Prague 4 was a first international hotel ever of this chain when…read morethey have decided years ago to start expansion out of Spain? Therefore this hotel is still important and Barceló is doing a lot of things to make your stay here as much pleasant as possible. The rooms are being redecorated just now, getting a really fresh look. Pillow menu is a nice touch. Lobby is also in accordance with the new feel and look including lounge bar. Barceló has two restaurants so you will never stand in line when getting your eggs for breakfast. I had a nice view towards Vltava valley, however some of the rooms are directed towards the cemetery (can you actually ask for more quiet neighbors?). The only downside I recall was the girl at the reception giving me the attitude. I know Czechs are not the most polite service people in the world, so come prepared.

Ahh, Prague! Doesn't everyone love Prague? Whether you're young and after hip clubs to dance the…read morenight away in, or an old fella who's been there, done that and now more interested in historical architecture, there's a little, no, a lot, for everyone! Our long weekend began in Karlovy Vary, but then we spent a couple nights in Prague. And for you savvy travelers, you know that generally speaking, Prague offers a heck of a lot for not a lot of coin, er... Koruna. Now, when choosing a hotel, there's so much to consider: location, price, old school authentic vibes, or something modern with all the comfies of home. We opted for a combination of three of the above. Like I previously eluded to, prices are pretty dang reasonable in Prague, so with some advanced booking we were able to snag a room for 60 Euros per night here. In my book, that's an extreme value. However, for full disclosure, there was a serious glitch. The room would not accommodate two adults and two kids like the booking system implied it would. We didn't want to make things too difficult, so we offered to pay a little more if need be. The answer, two adjoining rooms at just a little more than what we were originally going to pay for the one room. So, needless to write, they took their accommodations beyond just the facility, they took it to the personnel level. In addition, we were granted access to the "Executive Lounge." Now don't assume that's some grand secret room exclusive to royalty or anything, but it was stocked with beverages and snacks 24/7, so that certainly came in handy. The breakfast buffet was spot on, and possibly the best aspect of this hotel was location. No, it wasn't situated in the heart of old town, but smack dab right next to a subway station. And it made it so easy to utilize Prague's public transit system to get around. Furthermore, the hotel sold the subway tickets. By the way, those same tickets are valid on all forms of public transportation; the subway, the busses, or the trams. Bang for buck, this hotel really packs a punch! I know we enjoyed our time here, and I'm pretty sure all of you will too. Cheers

You can easily take the metro to the center for less than 1€. They also offer a private limousine service to take you to the city center for around 13€. The Hotel is modern and clean. Offer everything needed from gym, ATM, restaurant, bistro, executive lounge and so on. Breakfast is 16€ per person, which is really pricy in comparison to Czech breakfast cafes. We decided to have breakfast in local cafes and didn't regret the decision, since we got to know Prague better. Parking is 20€ per day. Free WiFi.
