Stayed at the Corinthia as part of a tour extension with Viking River Cruises. We had the included breakfast which was extensive and fairly good in quality. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was a little bit soft for my tastes, but did not alter my sleep pattern at all. The lobby, halls and elevator were in fine repair. There is a Metro stop very, very close to the hotel's front entrance. The location of the hotel guarantees a scenic view out of each side of the building. All in all a good location for a trip to Prague. read more

Swanky business hotel in the heart of Prague within walking distance of the fort and Cathedral within just across the metro station. Extremely professional and warm staff trained in the hospitality traditions. The beds have a spine in the middle for the king bed not entirely sure what's going on there but they're fairly comfortable otherwise. Toilets are a bit tight given the fan shaped arrangement of the rooms around the hub. Great breakfast and business Lounge with semi-private meeting rooms up there. Consider booking a room with access to the lounge if you have lots of people to meet or have a very busy day and need a frequent snack or drink to continue without having to leave the hotel. read more

You can tell this hotel was the best place in town maybe a decade ago. It's still nice but it's definitely a little outdated. The rooms were nice sized and comfortable. Full mini bar with coffee maker as well. A senseo as well as a hot water pot. Desk with a separate single chair. The air conditioning worked well which was good because it was hot during my stay. The lobby area is huge with a bar as well as plenty of seating. They have an ATM as well as a currency ATM as well. It seemed like a popular place for tour groups as well. Restaurants were on the 2nd floor. I want to stay one was the Grill which was open for lunch and dinner and the other place was for the breakfast buffet and then another section was opened for dinner called the Rickshaw restaurant which had Thai food. The breakfast buffet was good and they have eggs to order as well. Full selection of bacon, sausage, hash browns, beans etc. As well as a deli section and of course all kinds of fresh bread. Pretty decent selection of cereal as well. The fruit was ok and the juice section was good. I also had dinner at the Rickshaw and it was very good. The train station is also literally across from the hotel which makes it convenient to hit the sights. The staff here were very very nice and accommodating. read more

Viking booked us here as part of an add on to our cruise. Tiny rooms and not even close to the 5 star rating they promised. Not handicap accessible. Tub is 18 Inches off the slippery tile floor. I have enjoyed my stay at Corinthia hotel. The bed was comfy, the linens soft and the duvets so plush. The breakfast was good but a bit crowded at that time and the student waiters were like zombies, rather unhelpful. I just loved the conference room on 22nd floor with one of the best views in the city. The catering for the event was top class and so was the whole organization. I won't be back here. Stayed there for couple of days and this in definitely to the hotel I would come back to. And here is why. The location is in the middle of nowhere. Surrounded by motorways and subway station (this one is really close). But if you are in Prague you want to be walking distance from city center. This one is not. Rooms are very small and uncomfortable (even business room I got was smaller than most regular ones I am used to). And one thing I hate is when you literally are unable to set one temperature for water in your shower. It was constant fight with either too cold or too hot one... Breakfast is also nothing to write home about. The only thing that saves this hotel from one star is service. People are really helpful an you can by subway tickets at the concierge! read more

So its a convention center hotel. Bar already set low IMHO. From the outside and lobby very attractive. Checkin was easy and stay includes buffet breakfast. All service staff were friendly and attentive. So, why there stars you ask? (1) Sink was clogged. Yuck! (2) room had ZERO outlets. Had to unplug lights to charge phones. Its 2018.....and even Outlet in bathroom didn't work! (3) HVAC in room was non existent. Too hot. Too cold. Fan always on (4) fee to use pool. Come on. How cheap is that (5) room had "old" feel to it. Like communism days feel Three stars for convenient location next to metro, solid breakfast and good service in lobby. read more

I actually was quite disappointed after staying 3 nights in this hotel. I had expected an above average experience but for me this hotel is definitely under delivering. The service quality is bad in all aspects, the staff is not flexible and unfortunately also not really interested in providing at least average service. Also I can not recommend the restaurant where besides the food also the service was disappointing. All in all I can not recommend this hotel, there are definitely much better alternatives. read more

If you want a relaxing and comfortable stay in Prague, this is the place to go. The hotel looks magnificent with its towers and offers a great view from the executive lounge and spa. Our room (21:st floor) and executive lounge: We lived in an executive room, that gave us benefits to the executive lounge which offered a variety of drinks and food throughout the day. Breakfast was extensive with salmon, berries, sandwiches, sparkling wine, pastries and lots more. In the evening the lounge offered happy hour between 18-21 with drinks, wine, a variety of food, coffee, tea and sandwiches for example. Even hot food were avaliable. We really wished for the lounge to be open to 23 and that they would refill the food and drinks until then. We also wished for the breakfast to have soft drinks in the morning. A bit more attentive staff would be nice, we often sat throughout the morning without anyone asking if we wanted coffee. It was overall a very nice lounge, relaxing and cozy with a great view. Our room had the perfect size, comfortable bed and bathroom with amenities. A bit to hot though, air-condition didn't work to well in 36 degrees. I had wished for the minibar to be free of charge, that would have increased the feeling of luxury. Food: We didn't try the hotel's restaurants, but we did eat breakfast in the restaurant and that was quite a large buffet with bacon, eggs, pancakes, breads, fruits, sausages, beans, salad and more. We always took two breakfasts, one in then restaurant, and one in the lounge. Then we were so stuffed we didn't need any more for several hours. Hotel and environment: Corinthia is great if you want to relax outside the city centre. Still it's only two stops with the metro to the heart of Prague. Pool area is really nice with a pool and sunbeds. We went every morning for a swim. Seperate saunas though, which we thought was pretty sad. Cold water pool is avaliable, I went down and up as fast as I could. Reception and concierge desk staff is very friendly and happy. I wish they were like that in every hotel! We did not try hotel bars and casino Room cleaning: Very good cleaning staff, our room was always properly cleaned with refill of bathroom amenities. They even left chocolates on our pillows. To sum it up: Very nice hotell. Service is mostly excellent, though the executive lounge staff needs to work on their attitude. Clean and comfortable rooms, nice pool area and good breakfast. We had an amazing time! Room Tip: Choose executive room and make yourself comfortable. read more

Ehh...it's okay. We got a great deal online, so that makes up for some of the negatives. The rooms were a decent size for Europe, and included coffee/tea and a kettle. On the downside: The hot/cold water was very inconsistent and sensitive. The showers only had glass on the front half and there was constantly water all over the floor. The fact that the wood on the bottom of the shower was rotting makes me think it's not just my inability to take a shower. The a/c was better than a lot of the restaurants and store we found in Prague but our room was still generally warmer than I would have liked. There is a pool, gym and steam room on the top floor but it is not free for most room types. I understand paying for the spa but the gym isn't free? Seriously? The hotel is not at all within walking distance of old town but the metro is super to take into town and a 15 min. pass costs about $0.50 U.S. Overall, a nice hotel that could use a few tweaks. I'd stay here again if the price was right but if you shop around you may find better options. read more

Yes it's a bit out of town but only two stops on metro. Only few things disappointing have to pay extra 350kc a day per person to use the pool free for hr between 12/1 little disappointing. Bath small I'm 5'5 and can't lay in it out straight so if tall maybe an issue. Rooms cleaned and refreshed daily nothing to much trouble, I have allergies spoke to reception about bedding by time I returned all new anti allergy bedding in place. Isolated hotel, no parking, in a crappy neighborhood. Bar charges double for drinks, compared to the city area. Local management not responsive. They hide behind a wall of bureaucracy. We had a large party of about 75 people stay at the hotel. We were told that the use of exercise facilities and the pool were free of charge. We also could not find any information on the website that indicates there is a charge. Needless to say, we were very disappointed to find there is a significant charge. It was made worse when the management of the hotel were not responsive. read more

My family and I stayed at the Corinthia Hotel in Prague for a week in August 2018. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and had world class amenities. The staff was extremely professional and provided the best service that I have ever received during my many years of traveling. The Executive lounge offered me a great place to relax with my family and enjoy afternoon cocktails. The hostess Victoria was absolutely amazing and provided my family and I with detailed maps and information on local activities and restaurants. Greatly appreciated! Lastly, we had the privilege of meeting Food and beverage GM Mr. Philipp Soost. Mr. Soost was a great person to go to even thought his expertise was food and beverage he was able to accommodate us for our specific needs in our suite. Positive: Great breakfast - only positive Negatives: - Room is tiny and the A/C is awful making it stuffy - No outlets in the bathroom. They said to shave in the living room on the carpet which is super gross. - Bathroom is super small and sink is very outdated. - Matress top not attached to bed and it fell off the top constantly. Hotel itself is nice however let down by a few things. The location is a little inconvenient being surrounded by nothing but highway, having a metro stop only a few stops from the old town at the front door is convenient though. Were unimpressed with a lot of the staff though-ridiculous amount of trainees. Beds were very comfortable, water pressure in the bathroom wasn't great, and big lack of English TV channels-so annoying there's English speaking shows that have Czech recorded over the top! Main thing that annoyed us though was the breakfast, while the food itself was good with a wide selection, it wasn't worth the 600 crowns we had to pay for it 2 out of our 3 days. We were told if we booked it in advance we would only be charged 400 crowns but knew we didn't want it on the 2nd day due to an early tour, the staff refused to allow us to only book for 2 of the days which was very frustrating. The restaurant manager also told us after the 1st breakfast we could still book for the 3rd day at reception and only pay 400, we went and tried to do this the next day and the staff kept saying this was not possible and we would have to pay 600 at breakfast!! We told them not to worry about it, they simply don't understand logic, I mean why not allow people to have breakfast for the 400 crowns they'd been told to rather than tell them they would have to pay 600 and instead lose the business altogether! On check out we were told we had a charge for using the phone and a charge for whiskey from the mini bar, both of which were completely false! They said it was definitely on the room though but sure wasn't us so either the cleaning staff are drinking whiskey and making personal calls instead of cleaning the rooms or they were trying to rip us off! Good hotel if you need a good sleep but we won't be returning. read more

Let's start with the air conditioning... there is none. From other reviews found it's been this way at least 2 months. I got a fan for my room and a pass to the exec lounge, which is equally as hot. I haven't been able to sleep comfortably since my arrival. We are here for a conference so I sit all day in a sweat box. Staff is friendly, and I can't imagine how uncomfortable they must be working here. The subway is very close, which is good because I can't wait to get out of the hotel. read more

First Day at Corinthia Hotel Prague and it is a BUST!!! Checked in and found out I was guest of the day and that I had access to the Executive Lounge...Went to the Executive Lounge and was told by the young lady that I was not allowed to be there..OK...but I give her credit..she let me finish my wine and olives.. I went to the front desk and asked another receptionist what perks did I receive as the guest of the day and the receptionist told me that I had access to the Business Lounge..key never worked and it was re-keyed 3 times... Room has no A/C..I asked about the A/C and was told sometimes it works and was given a fan!! Took a shower and the tub is clogged...suds coming out from the drain in the floor... Hopefully the next two days will be better!!!!! Day 2 at Corinthia Hotel Prague and it was Much Much Better!! Started out this morning with an AWESOME Breakfast!!!!Sports Massage..FABULOUS!!!..Felt Wonderful afterwards...then a Pedicure...WONDERFUL!!!!!!... Review - Corinthia Hotel Prague, the Czech Republic The GREAT - Fantastic staff. Everyone understands and practices genuine customer service. From the bellman, concierge and front desk to engineering, housekeeping and dining*! I honestly do not think you could ask for better or more sincere service. *a special mention of Dominik in the breakfast dining room. I am gluten free. Dominik made sure that I was well cared for including a daily dose of superb gluten free bread, gf muesli and a thick slice of heavenly chocolate laced gf cake made by one of the hotel chefs! The GOOD - as you would expect of a 5 star European hotel, the Corinthia Prague is immaculate and has a gorgeous lobby. If you have read my other hotel reviews, you know that my wife and I generally eschew fancy lobbies for lower room rates. We were at the Corinthia as part of a Viking River Boat cruise (reviewed at www.cruisecritic.com). Free wi-fi and excellent, but very limited English language TV. A wonderful breakfast buffet with custom omelets and super chefs. Our room was very large and comfortable once we got the air conditioning fixed. The NOT SO GOOD - other than immediate, across the street, access to the terrific Prague subway system, this hotel is near nothing. While less than 2 direct miles from the Old Town Square and two main shopping streets/dining areas, I cannot imagine walking it because of major highways in the way. NOTE: Prague, itself, is eminently walkable if you don't mind cobble and smaller paving stones. But, from this hotel even to get to a nearby restaurant requires crossing over two major highways. As many, many other European hotels, our room had a high sided bathtub with a narrow, wedge shaped, bottom difficult for entrance and showering. Plus, also very European (perhaps Europeans bathe rather than shower?), there was a glass wall that only enclosed less than half the tub. Regardless of the occupant's care in showering, water goes everywhere! The honor bar refrigerator did not seal well causing condensation leakage and lack of full refrigeration for the bottled water we put in. Finally, in this section, we had a king sized bed with a mattress that was pure mush as were the pillows. The duvet was dense and heavy and, we felt, inappropriate for August. Maybe these are personal preferences? My wife and I prefer firm mattresses and pillows and lighter comforters for Summer. The awesome staff did bring and install 2 boards under the mattress, but mush is mush regardless of what is under it. The BAD - It is a shame to need to make these observations in view of the wonderful customer service, but my review would be neither honest nor complete without them. On arrival there was almost no air flowing from the high vent even at full fan speed. We requested service while we were out our first day. Whatever was done was inadequate. A second request brought a very nice and understanding maintenance engineer. He disassembled part of the system, removed and cleaned an absolutely filthy air filter. This is routine maintenance that I would EXPECT of a 5 star hotel. Once the filter was cleaned and reinstalled, the system worked as well as what I suspect is a chilled water system can work. Finally, the room was very noisy even late into the night. Very disappointing for a 5 star hotel. read more

This is a 24 story hoteI made for groups . I thought the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The lobby was first rate. Unfortunately for a high-end hotel, we found things that should not have been found. The coffee maker was difficult to figure out and there was no plug close to it. Our tub was clogged and we had to call maintenance. The restaurant guide in the room showed a sushi restaurant on site but they hadn't had sushi for two years. We asked for a local restauant and they directed us to a place a quarter-mile away. They neglected to tell us about the Vietnamese restaurant which was 30 yards from the hotel which we found on our own and had an excellent meal. The hotel staff was nice. However, if I wanted a romantic stay in Prague, I wouldn't stay here. read more

I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions, the last being last Christmas where a group of 8 of us stayed there to celebrate christmas. The hotel is not in the very center of prague, however the hotel is very close to an underground station and you can get into the new town in a matter of minutes.The buffet breakfast is very nice, but we have found the last time we stayed here it was very hard finding a clean table, and some of the buffet stuff was starting to get cold (from where people did not bother putting the lids back on heated items). We paid a little bit more (about 60 eur per room per night )to stay on the executive floors, which got us access to the executive lounge where there was complimentary drinks such as tea, coffee, cola and fanta throughout the day and in the evening they would put out sparkling wine, wine, and other spirits. There were snack foods throughout the day too. One of my only complaints would be that over Christmas, the staff were not really sure which restaurants in the hotel would be open, and were not accepting bookings. this may be a luxury hotel in prague by european standard but not by other countries outside of the eastern european zone. it's dated, past its prime in need of a renovaton. the mattresses feel like that haven't been replaced in years; mine felt like a water bed. however, after contacting the front desk manager he switched our room. we could hear the plumbing from the room next door everytime water was used then an odor would surface in our bathroom. the spa was nice and very friendly. the thai restaurant is ok-i mean just ok. the breakfast was very good and plenty of choices. it's outiside the city and a 2-3 stop on the metro which is conviently located right next to the hotel. it's a convention/conference hotel..well travelled and beaten down from any 4-5 star rating. a healthy renovation is needed. the staff was freindly and tried to accommodate. read more
