I stayed in a Junior Suite with a king bed and balcony, and the room was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was a great place to spend the night before an international flight. The room had AC, plenty of hot water in both the shower and sink, and automatic window covers that could be lowered with a remote. I also enjoyed the morning view from the balcony. You can see the parking lot beyond the front lawn, but the grounds and surrounding scenery still made for a nice view. Despite being close to the airport, I didn't hear any noticeable noise during the evening or morning. I unexpectedly arrived very late in the evening and was initially worried about checking in, but I was told there was someone at the front desk overnight, so it ended up being easy and stress-free. The parking lot is also very spacious and gated, which made me feel comfortable leaving my rental car there overnight. Breakfast was included and was decent, filling, and convenient before heading to the airport. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely come back if I needed a hotel near Malpensa before or after an international flight.

The small lounge areas down on the main floor we really enjoyed. It was very cool sitting there and fun to watch the few activities going on. The food was very good and especially the breakfast. The hotel and restaurant is the only game in town, a few nice pubs, a few pizzerias, a bakery, a gelateria, a meat shop, a church, a few stores, and a small post office -- it has everything you could want from a small Italian town. The room: very good firm bed, soft pillows, well-crafted room with small balcony. Equipped with bedside cool/modern plug-ins for regular US electrical and USB plugs for easy-peasy charging. They really thought of everything to make the hotel experience great for a traveler. The entire staff is so personable with a joyous attitude. Absolutely lovely through and through.

Upon arrival we were told that the men needed to be wearing jackets. I wish that our hotel had told us because my husband had packed one, but luckily the restaurant keeps spare jackets on site for just this situation. The large dining room is incredibly old school with beautiful brass dining chairs laden in blue and yellow striped fabric. When they brought out the wine list I thought it was a joke because it was the size of a dictionary! For dinner I had the beet tartare and the veal filet. The soy marinated tofu was a little bit of an odd flavor combined the beet dish but besides that it was quite good. My husband started with the gnocchi and it may have been the best dish of the night, it was dynamite. In my opinion, my veal filet was better than my husbands beef filet and I also really enjoyed the petite eggplant parmigiana that came with it. Soufflé and ice creams for dessert were a big hit, but I was especially pleased because I asked if they had some dark chocolates off menu and they brought me out a beautiful assortment that tasted as good as they looked. Great restaurant if you are looking for an elegant evening out on the town or an excuse to use the dinner jacket that you packed but thought you wouldn't need.

I was very happy with the room and wish we had more time to spend there. There were some chocolates and jellies waiting for us in the room when we checked in which were delightful! The location of the hotel is very conveniently located with a quick walk to the downtown Lugano area with lots of shops and restaurants. We had breakfast included which was buffet style. The first morning we got there early and had a spot outside to enjoy the view. The breakfast itself was just okay. The second day our group was leaving early so they had arranged for an earlier opening for breakfast but when we got there they were still setting up and did not have all the options available. All said, I would consider staying there again if ever back in the area. I understand there are two parts of the hotel and have heard negative things about the other part so would want to make sure I was in a similar lake facing room in the main hotel building.

Would be amazing in the summer. Can lie out on the dock, take their paddle boat out, and go for a swim. Boat, train and bus stops nearby (walking distance). We even walked to a nearby town Bissone for dinner one night. Great stay! Would come back again!
