I've stayed in the Alter Wirt on several occasions whilst on business visits to Munich. If you're…read morelooking for a typical Bavarian themed hotel then this place is great. The rooms are minimal, spacious and always clean. The food is good and from local suppliers although the portion sizes probably don't justify the price tag. That said the breakfast which I believe is included for all guests is very good. Unfortunately my German is poor but the staff all speak pretty good English. The centre of Munich can be reached by the nearby tram if you don't have a hire car (for which I'd recommend Sixt rent a car)
