Not bad. And it's a bargain for Munich and it's quite pretty. I did have spiders in my room- not that I mind spiders, but that means they aren't sweeping the corners. And my room was on ground level, and they kept leaving the window open when they cleaned, which didn't make me feel very secure about my belongings.
On the positive side, the Wifi worked somewhat (I was far away from the source, I think, so mine did not work as well as my students' wifi did). I was here with EF tours- and my students had rooms that overlooked the river and patio of the restaurant next door (Indian food) and they were thrilled with their rooms. There is a bridge at the end of the hotel- pretty, great for pictures. There is a lovely little park next door. Breakfast is decent. There's a great vending machine that even has beer. The hotel puts out fresh apples which I REALLY appreciated. I ate a lot of those. They were good. I was being taken by bus with my students into Munich, so I don't really know how easy it is to get to Munich from the hotel- but it seemed close to both central Munich and Dachau- the two places we went.
I did NOT like the restaurants across the street from the hotel- one is in another hotel down the street, wish I could remember the name. The food was just not very good. And at the end of the street and around the corner (opposite the Maypole- which is great, get a picture of that) was a restaurant that was just awful. Maybe it was awful because they were feeding a large group, but it was spectacularly awful.
I thought the staff was very nice and very helpful. I'd agree with the other review about the bathrooms. It's actually kind of tricky to get in the shower- and if you were disabled, for example, I don't think you could do it. Mine had this triangular thing going on- and you had to slide one piece on direction and the other the other direction, and then you got this tiny opening to sidle through. read more
