It is next to a Shell gas station and a car dealership, but I felt safe walking to and from the conference. There is also a metro line about a five minute walk from the hotel. I don't know anything about parking there but the breakfast that came with our stay had plenty of food. Sorry I didn't take any pictures. There were two kinds of egg, sausage, cheeses, and cold cuts, cereal, a pancake maker, lots of breads, different kinds of coffees, three juices and a machine where you could make your own fresh carrot and apple juice. The room was clean and just what we needed. The toilet is in its own little room. the shower is in the room with the bedroom however there was a curtain that could be pulled to separate it off. Our room was in a different building than the main hotel and breakfast area. But it was a 15 second Walk in the back. There was a full service bar downstairs, which was pretty lively at night. Plenty of things to choose from there. It was a solid option convenient to the convention center. If I were going to Vienna to sightsee only I would probably not stay there as it is on the opposite side of the river, but it's convenience to the metro station made going into town very simple. Our last day was the day of the Vienna marathon. It was a bit crazy outside our hotel and given we were not there for the marathon it made getting to the metro a little more complicated. However, there is a place to cross the main street underneath the road right by the metro so don't you know that trick you are all set to go.

The general area of the hotel seems a little sketchy, but the hotel itself is quite clean and updated. The rooms are very utilitarian, clearly geared toward a younger population that are satisfied with just the basics. Unlike our other scheduled hotels on our rail tour, this was the only hotel that charged guests for breakfast (and not a small sum at 23 €). I passed on this opportunity and bought my breakfast in town and on the train after my departure the final morning. The check in was self-service, which seems a little impersonal to me, but the bright side was we were able to check in before 1:00 pm. Staff that issued our room cards were friendly and answered our questions about the local tram. There was a free area to get water, so we used it to fill our travel bottles in the never ending battle to stay hydrated following nights of mulled wine. That was a feature none of our other hotels had, so this was a big plus. This hotel is definitely worth considering, just don't expect any luxury touches.

As a Lifetime Platinum Elite member, certain benefits are part of that loyalty. I had two reservations for this stay: the first portion was booked under my name, and the remaining nights (which together totaled seven nights) were accidentally booked under my husband's name and his Bonvoy number. In the past, I've never had an issue having reservations like this paired together. I even called Marriott in advance and was told not to worry, that the hotel would merge the reservations upon arrival and that my Platinum benefits would apply for the entire stay. The flight was delayed into Vienna, I contacted the hotel through my reservation to notify them. At the same time, I again requested that the two reservations be merged and asked whether my Platinum benefits would override my husband's so we could have lounge access for the duration of our stay. Ronja responded and clearly stated that this would not happen and that my Platinum benefits would not be honored for the second half of the stay. After going back and forth and realizing I wasn't getting anywhere, I decided to address it when we got to the hotel. When we arrived at 1:00 a.m., Michael was at the front desk, and he was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating. He resolved the situation immediately and without hesitation. Ronja's LinkedIn lists her title as "Hotel & Hospitality Specialist," but based on this interaction, additional training may be beneficial. As a lifelong Platinum Elite member, I certainly did not feel like a valued guest. Aside from that experience, the hotel itself was absolutely perfect. Our room was lovely, located on a high floor with a beautiful view overlooking the park. The hotel has so much to offer, and the Concierge Lounge was one of the best I've ever experienced. It was open daily from 6:30 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.--which is impressive in itself. Breakfast was served every morning with a great selection of both hot and cold options, and the coffee machine offered an excellent variety of choices. There was also a daily happy hour from 5:00 p.m. until closing, with beer, wine, and a consistent selection of food and snacks. The lounge staff truly went above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and welcome. The views from the lounge were magnificent making it a nice place to relax after a long day. This is a beautiful hotel in a fantastic part of the city. It's within walking distance of major sights and excellent restaurants. If you're visiting Vienna, this is a wonderful place to stay.

Each morning, we had breakfast at the hotel which included hot items like scrambled eggs, bacon (which was different from American bacon), mushrooms, potatoes, roasted tomatoes, waffles, and pancakes. The buffet also had a fruit bar, deli section, breads, sweet pastries, yogurts, cereals, salad, and a made to order omelette station. Beverages included coffees, teas, juices, and even prosecco. The food was the same every day, but there was enough selection that we could switch it up throughout the week. Would stay here again in the future.

When we went there, they showed two different rates, one for double and one for twin. Since we were only staying 4-5 hours in the room, we decided not to pay the extra €15+tax. Next morning went for breakfast and told it wasn't included and we had to shell out another €26. So what did I already pay all the money for? They refused that our room came with breakfast and that we could pony up or get lost. So we left. Some specifics below: Rooms: Smelly (like poop); No safe in the room; no coffee service In the room; really small rooms. Summary, Super Basic and smelly. Location: Good if you want to be at the Hauptbahnhof, but not so good if you want to be in the City Center, I.e. Stephansplatz area Service: Willing to provide extra blankets, but that's it. However, not willing to give an inch of extra service when they could. Would rather the guests suffer in the darkness of online bookings then to make it a pleasant experience. Overall: Bad room, ok location, and basically a smelly costly situation with no amenities for over $135. Shell a little extra money and live in a better hotel.

We tried room service, dinner in their cafe and dinner at their Opus restaurant, and every meal was stellar - including some evening desserts and coffee. The room was comfortable, with great high ceilings and windows, a heavenly bed and great amenities/water pressure in the bathroom. The wait staff kept our room full of water and other goodies. It is perfectly located to public transportation, quick walks to attractions and local parks, and the building itself is beautiful.

The bar is in a large rectangular (~35 feet x 45 feet) room with a 25 foot high ceiling. The ceilings are mirrored. The upper third of the high walls are decorated like a section of library books. There are at least a dozen seating groups of 2, 4 and 7 plus 6 seats at the bar. The bar seats are nicely padded and covered in leather. The floor seated is very comfortable, oversized, cloth fabric. The background music is pleasing and not too loud. The bar staff is attentive and helpful. They also brought out some nice bar snacks. Drinks here are priced as you would think for a hotel of this caliber. We enjoyed our time at the Imperial Bar.

There were a few small issues during my stay, but the staff were so friendly and accommodating that they completely outweighed any negatives. I told them personally that I would absolutely stay here again, and I meant it. Check-in was easy enough. I had to modify my reservation due to a change in travel plans and ended up arriving a couple days earlier. That meant I needed to create a second reservation for the early stay. The front desk team handled everything effortlessly, allowing me to keep the same room and simply update my key. Every staff member I interacted with was professional, spoke perfect English, and went out of their way to be helpful, from providing local recommendations to assisting with a battery change for my room's door lock in the middle of the night. My deluxe king room was comfortable and rather roomy. Had a great shower and plenty of closet space. The bed was comfortable, and I especially loved the unique wake-up feature on the TV, it would turn on and slowly increase classical music to start the day. The desk area was a bit cramped due to the coffee and tea machine, but that was easily fixed by moving it aside. The only real downside was the Wi-Fi. It was unreliable at times, and one day the entire hotel experienced an outage. While inconvenient, the staff handled the situation very kindly and professionally, so it didn't take away from my overall experience. I also appreciated the hotel's gym, which was clean, well-lit, and open late. It was perfect for a late-night workout. The terrace on the top floor also had a nice view. Although I didn't try the breakfast or restaurant, I found plenty of nearby options and loved that getting around was easy with Lime scooters and ride-sharing services right outside the hotel. Above all, the standout feature of this property is its staff. Every single person I encountered was genuinely warm and welcoming. That level of hospitality made all the difference and is the reason I'll gladly return the next time I'm in Vienna. My only suggestion would be to improve the internet reliability, but overall, this is an excellent place to stay ...especially if you value great service and a convenient location.

Nice upgrade from our normal hotel rooms! Plus a Fantastic Frühstück!…read more My wife and I recently took a tour of Austria and Switzerland. As it happened, our first night was in Vienna at the Austria Trend Hotel Savoyen. When we opened the door to see a King bed as well as a large couch and coffee table plus a nice desk with an adequate number of plugs to charge "devices", we knew we were being spoiled - by "our" standards in the States. This was my first time in Europe, but the shower took a little experimenting to figure out (but it wasn't too hard). The A/C cooled quite well; nice since it was warm when we arrived. Other hotels on our trip had no A/C at all; there we simply opened the window to let the cool air in. The Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful. Andrea in particular was able to help get my iPhone and WiFi only iPad set up on the hotel's free WiFi. Since we were stay-ing 2 nights, this was a big help. They were also pleasant when I had to break large Euros - they had run out of 5 Euro bills because others were needing change, but he was still pleasant. The bed was so comfortable that it was quite easy to fall asleep, even though keeping the room cool was not as easy. Something new to us was the lack of a "flat sheet", we had one heavy comforter. Still, a decent night's sleep. Oh, the breakfast, or Frühstück, was incredible. So many choices of different foods. Everything from fresh cut fruit and 5-6 varieties of yogurt to pastries, breads, bacon and eggs, sausage links, many choices of coffee and juices. I could go on, but I was well pleased with the breakfast. The breakfast was quite delicious with the numerous options. To clarify, back in the States, some of our hotels do provide a very decent "Continental Breakfast". Over here, though - this is a different Continent and we had a far better Breakfast. Overall, we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay - helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and excellent Frühstück. If you're coming to Vienna, you will be quite pleased when you stay here.

The hotel is extremely modern and the staff are very helpful. There is a self check-in process, which is quick and easy (and located conveniently in the bar). They also offer reasonably priced bike rentals, which is a great way to see the city. The rooms themselves are very clean, reasonably spacious, and have an array of amenities. One thing to note about the room layout, however, is that it boasts partially private en suite bathrooms - the toilet is private, however, the curtain only wraps halfway around the transparent shower stall, so if you are sharing the room with anyone other than your significant other, you should keep in mind that you'll need to set ground rules for staying far away from the bath side of the room when someone is in the shower! I was staying with a close friend, so it didn't bother us too much, but this may be a deterrent for some. The room amenities were top notch - this hotel provides "Handy" phones for guest use - something that I hadn't seen before. These smartphones are fully equipped with cellular service and 3G, meaning you can bring them around the city with you to use for phone calls, Google Maps, etc (and save your own battery for photos)! The room also had a tablet in it for ordering room service and browsing the internet, however, I didn't find it to have as much utility, and could've gone without - especially in lieu of including a different amenity, like in-room coffee. All in all, the attention to detail, modern amenities and location made this hotel a place I would love to return to, and certainly will be recommending to others.

I suppose it's the price you pay for getting a crappy hotel and needing to change last minute. But at that moment, I just wanted a decent room and without any drama. I checked in just after midnight, coming in exhausted. The lobby is modern and with lots of lighting. I could tell that this was a fairly newly renovated hotel. The concierge, without me asking or prompting, upgraded me to a king room suite with executive lounge access. Yes, it's price I probably would've paid had I booked in advance weeks prior, but it was nice of the concierge to do this. The hotel didn't have to do it. The suite was clean and roomy. I had such a lovely time during my stay there. While it's got that modern sterile look, the bathroom is spacious, with shower and bathtub. There's even a small bathroom in the living/sitting room area with a television, couch, and minibar. The bed was comfortable and clean. I had a wonderful view of the city. The executive lounge is bright, clean, and decently-sized. There's a library which serves as a more private area. There's also a patio outside with a decent view. Breakfast has elements of English and continental. The eggs and breakfast proteins were hot. There are extensive coffee/hot drink machines and also a soft drink fridge. During off hours, there are snacks, spa water, and soft drinks available. I had the "happy hour" food once, which consisted of French onion soup, caprese salad, and "Asian inspired chicken nuggets". The nugget wasn't all that great but the soup hit the spot. Overall, this was an enjoyable perk. You're close to a U-bahn station and just over the bridge is the Inter Stadt. The hotel is near lots of restaurants and a variety of stores. Yet it's really quiet in the hotel. Overall, I cannot complain about my stay and the service was excellent throughout.
