I have SLEPT so good, I didn't hear any train, but I could hear the train whistles from my house in Portland, but today, I heard some trains that sounds like rain drops. Imagine how soft that is! So, to each his/her own. I could hear my husband snoring more than TRAINS going by! Also: others mentioned about the sauna door, they're scared to use the tub because they are afraid the door might fall out or something. The hotel itself had very intricate and lovely decor. It was extremely hard to not want to take photos of every little detail. Even the elevator was very well decorated, and we took multiple selfies in the elevator alone. My bed was extremely comfortable.

He is very knowledgeable about the area and full of great recommendations. The rooms are spacious and clean. Every time we would go out of the hotel to enjoy the day we would leave the key with the owner. Every time we came back the room had been cleaned. On Saturday we came and left about 3-4 times, and each time the room had been refreshed! That is definitely a hotel first for me. The hotel is also dog friendly. DO NOT EXPECT: -Air conditioning or fans to be present in the rooms. Because of this, if it is hot and your room is facing the street, your windows will need to be open and you will have some street noise coming in. -A breakfast buffet. Breakfast is included in the cost, but it is a light breakfast. The owner will make a fresh yummy cup of Italian coffee (black, espresso, or cappuccino, etc) and a fresh made croissant with butter/jam.

I would say the big reason our review is getting a three is because almost every employee we encountered could use some training in customer service. They have a certain way of doing things at this hotel which is fine, but much better received when said with a smile, especially when the answer to your question is no. Usually in a four or five star property the staff try to accommodate guests. We didn't find that to be the case during our stay and would have enjoyed the no's and our stay there more had there been more yes's and the no's at least presented with a smile. Also the massage from the spa was not good, I paid extra for a deep tissue massage, it was like a pressure point massage not enjoyable. And the sheets and towels on property are hard and scratchy not soft as you would expect at a nice hotel such as this one. It's also strange that you cannot get two keys for your room, another no.
