If you're looking for a good hotel in Vitória, this is it. I stayed here during a three-day weekend…read morewhen I was in town for business, a friend shared the room with me, so we opted for deluxe room with the two twin-sized beds, which was surprisingly one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. The lobby area was clean, organized, and the staff very professional. My first impression of the room was that it was basic, and not very comfortable. Maybe it was a bad first impression, and I'm not sure why I had it, because later on the room grew on me. It had a small chair, desk, TV, radio, closet with safe, and the bathroom had a large shower. The maids did a good job of cleaning and brought complimentary water every day. There is a pool and gym on the top floor, as well as a sauna. You can buy drinks up there, but whether or not a person is there to sell them to you is hit or miss. The gym had modern equipment and looked like it was well maintained. Breakfast was included in my room rate, and was definitely worth it. They have a large buffet with fruits, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. I made sure to go every day. The elevator system has an added layer of security - you need your room key to go anywhere, and it will only let you to the pool and your own floor, so there's no need to worry about strangers coming in. The other two perks are: 1. The view, which was spectacular because you can see almost all of the bay out to the ocean, including Praia do Canto and Ilha do Frade. 2.The location. The hotel is located on a quiet street in the Praia do Canto neighborhood, a two-minute walk from the beach and a jogging/bicycle track, and lots of small restaurants nearby (mostly behind the hotel). There were always taxis out front, so it would be very easy to get a ride anywhere in Vitória. If/when I go back, I will stay here again.

Was I fan? Mmmmmmedium. Shall I give them the benefit of the…read moredoubt? I shall! Why? * The hotel is clean, decent, comfortable beds - nothing to complain. The interior, however, is a bit dated. Welcome back to the eeeeeh 1970s or so. * The breakfast is quite good! You have all sorts of fruits, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, croissants, cheeses & meat. The scrambled eggs were Dr. Seuss' colour so I wouldn't necessarily recommend that. * The rooms are nice, but it really depends on which one you have; we had one of the best ones with a little balcony, view at the mountain and slopes, kingsize bed, and even a bath! Our friend's rooms were not as nice, so if you book a room here - make sure you'll check what kind of room it is behorehand. * The hotelbar, well.... Ehm, it's a hotelbar more designed for families, children, and large groups, than a hotelbar where we wanted to pend an hilarious night. But then again, maybe we're not the target group... * There is free WiFi, but limited to 800 MB and just for 1 device. So with the two of us, one needed to log out before the other one could access internet. Meh. * The service is absolutely impeccable! Super friendly at the frontdesk and they can arrange anything for you; ski passes (you just pay at the front desk and collect it the next morning) and when you hire skis next door, you'll get a discount as a hotelguest. We Dutchies love discounts! * You'll get a key for the lockers in the ski room downstairs; the lockers are spacious and I love the fact that your personal belongings and ski gear (whether your own or rentals) are locked away safely. * Major plus: the hotel is literally next to the ski slope and ski lift so in 5 minutes, you're on your way to the mountain for some snowy adventures! We got a really great deal on the room price, so that's definitely the reason for my 4-star rating; I saw the regular prices and I wouldn't say that I would be willing to pay that for the whole, overall experience. However, if we can get a good deal again next year, I'll definitely would like to stay here again!
