Arrived here today for a Vaughan town program and I am absolutely impressed!! My breath was taken…read moreaway upon driving up to Puerto de Gredos. The snow filled mountains surround the main hotel building and the many walking paths. As you walk into the building two doors open and you are greeted by high ceilings, a wooden staircase, and an open lobby with a bar, several couches, and a lounge area. The staff are welcoming and speak both English and Spanish. My room was on the second floor and was beautiful! The beams from the original building frame the ceiling. The beams lead to an open window, which in my room opened up to the back of the hotel which gave a view of the mountains and gorgeous horses.
Inside the spacious room was a double bed, large desk with a flat screen TV, medium sized bathroom with a tub, and a double closet with a vanity and mirror. There is also a mini bar with storage for food.
The service at the hotel is great with housekeeping coming in everyday and making up the beds, replacing toiletries, and cleaning. When I would return in the afternoon the window was always open with the room warm and the bed made up. The beds are extremely comfortable making it difficult to get up in the morning for breakfast. The food at the hotel was good most days. I really enjoyed the pumpkin soup, cava dessert drink, and the varieties of fish. The staff serving the food were also very nice and flexible about changing our orders as needed. Overall my stay was wonderful and I definitely would return again!!
