We were close to everything, but it was very quiet, and we had parking right outside the door of the hotel. Most importantly, Angela and her family were so lovely and accommodating. Angela provided us with wonderful ideas of places to see and things to do. She gave us handwritten notes and maps to help us plan our excursions. Angela helped with restaurant and bar choices and made reservations for us. Dinner at Cantina di Biffi, fabulous! We wish that we had planned to spend more days in Sulmona, and we hope to return as there are many other places to see. What a beautiful area, and Angela's enthusiasm for her region helped us enjoy it so much more than we probably would have without her guidance. We were in Italy for 10 days on this trip, and Sulmona was the best part of it. We also recommend the winery tour at Cantina Margiotta which is just 15 minutes from the hotel. Our view was not great as we just looked at the building next door but this is to be expected in a hotel in the middle of the city so not an issue. The room was quite small though the bathroom and shower were spacious and the bidet was a nice treat. The included breakfast was very nice and tasty and the staff here was very attentive and friendly. My only complaint really was that we could here the kitchen/restaurant pretty well in our room.

Leave your key when you leave the hotel, buzz in when you get back. They know your names,your room and everything in between. Obviously, this town hasn't seen that many tourists and well, that's a good thing in my book. If I go visit families again, I'd probably stay here again. Big rooms, basic beds, good breakfast. Quiet and cute hotel. It does the job for it all.
