The cooks would bring out bread, ricotta cheese, milk, and pastries. The rooms use old school medival keys. The walk ways, parking lot, pathways, and driveways are made of small stones. Smells like cows since the location is on a ranch, and if you're new to the area, namely foreigners, be sure to bring bug repellent or you'll be eaten alive by mosquitoes. I came home with nearly 10 bites per arm and leg. Dining at night we had wine, more cheese, salumi, and other finger food. We mostly ate at other ristorantes since this was for a week long wedding celebration. Nice interesting little place quite far from the mecca city. About 2 1/2 hours south of Rome, and 1 hour from Naples. Beautiful scenic drive along the hills and coast to get here. Nearby are small little shops and a little town.

They were nice enough to show us several rooms, so we were able to make our best decision. Since it's off-season, they gave us a great deal of only $75 a night for an Oceanview room. The room had everything we need including a refrigerator, shower, and Jacuzzi tub with jets etc. The pool area looks like a las Vegas pool, so we will be trying out the a spa at night. There is a restaurant and separate bar on site. In California this room would easily be $300 a night!

Our accommodation was a bedroom with a sitting room that opened up to a kitchen, all with stunning views through large windows across the marina at Agropoli and out into the deep blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Cool white tiles, white walls and ceilings accented with deep blue curtains, giving it a serene, Mediterranean feel. There is a restaurant downstairs that is open in the summer time, and breakfast is an opt-in affair. We visited in late October, after the summer rush was over, but before the rains set in. Just outside the Palazzo is a small beach better suited for catching some rays than swimming, although there are plenty of clean beaches to swim at within a 20 minute walk. To the rear of the building is the bustling Old Town, from which it's an easy to walk up the hill to the promontory where the old convent and castle are surrounded by cosy apartments and trattorias. What struck us about Agropoli is the generosity of everyone we met. This is not a wealthy area, but people offer what they can, making even non-Italian-speakers feel welcome as if special guests in their home. Sounds corny, I know, but you'll know what I mean if you ever go there. What about the food, you ask? The best stuff comes from the sea and it is without parallel. Simple, flavorful, textured, plentiful and CHEAP. This is a wonderful part of the world, genuine, friendly and much better to our minds than the nearby Amalfi Coast.

I would highly recommend the hotel installing some safety features in the shower, as it is very slippery and there are no rails in the shower to hold on to. I would imagine someone has probably slipped. The breakfast was enjoyable and relaxing, the omelet maker girl was very nice! We really enjoyed walking the grounds including the cave to the waterside. It was a beautiful pool and very relaxing with drinks. I would also recommend the hotel accommodate travelers who would like to mail a post card and do it for them. Most hotels will mail it and even put the postage on the card. I would also recommend water to be handed out at the concierge or lobby desk for NO CHARGE. We had to pay 7 euros for one large bottle. We have stayed at other hotels and they just ask how many boxes of water we would like. This hotel is close walking into town, we would definitely go back!

First let me tell you this place is NOT a resort in anyway, so don't expect it. Secondly they do get high marks for converting a convent to a hotel. However, the negatives outweigh the positives. First the rooms are as small as the rooms in most Paris hotels. The toilet is so small you can go to the toilet, take a shower and brush your teeth at the same time. We were the only ones there last week. The staff suggested that its better for them to deliver our breakfast each morning instead of setting up the breakfast room just for us. We agree. Well low and behold when we checked out they charged us 20Euros for room service. We argued with the owner on checkout and he finally caved in and gave us the 20Euro credit. We then wanted to have dinner at the hotel. We were the only ones there. On checkout they ripped us off for 52Euros for one plate of pasta and a salad. Had I known this I would have driven to town! I goofed and should have asked the price before! JP Morgan said "If you have to ask the price you can't afford it". I am amending this quote and stating if you don't ask the price you are a fool! The owner should not be in this business. He "pissed" us off royally! I can only imagine how he treats other guests. Would not stay here again or recommend. Too many other place where they don't abuse you!

I drove in down a long pathway and was able to park in close proximity to the entrance. The security guard notified the front desk so they greeted my outside. The porter took my bags inside. I had arrived before check-in time so I had some time to explore the property before seeing my room. The garden area outside is very nice! I was told that the hotel would be closing for winter in a few days time and that is was slow. Since they did not have high occupancy, they upgraded me for free from a garden view to an ocean view. After 30 minutes or so the room was ready and I was escorted to see the room. It was quite impressive as there was the room itself but had a "sitting room" next it is so it was basically a suite. There was a door to the balcony that had a table for two and an ocean view. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and a Panettone loaf. The room was nice an had everything except for a coffee maker. There was no hot water pitcher either. The bathroom had a toilet where the seat was not aligned to the toilet which is scary for a man as a pinched ball sack would not be good. This property is right next to Piazza Tasso which is the main square and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a bar onsite as well as a Michelin starred restaurant called Terrazza Bosquet. The restaurant was good and the staff were amazing, front desk, concierge, bell staff and restaurant staff. Customer Service is a big priority here. A few small tweaks needed but was a five star experience!

First two days, we took stairs up and down, everywhere we went (according to my health app, one day we did 82 floors...) and that was killer. Definitely helps going around on the road and avoiding those demon stone stairs. Our room was high up on the third floor with an awesome jetted tub to soak our sore feet and legs at the end of each day. The bed is in the firmer side but still comfy. Also appreciate that they provide lots of pillows and blankets. The balcony is wonderful! Two beach chairs and a table with two seats are perfect for soaking in the fresh air and breathtaking views. Housekeeping and the staff are great! We didn't get room service during our stay but the housekeeper still handed us fresh towels and tp rolls (they're super thin) on our way to our room. Spidey senses are sharp! Also, there's no iron in the room do you just need to call and request. Highly recommend!!!

Seeing them in the cafe downstairs at breakfast was fun the next day I tell you . That being sad the complimentary breakfast was good enough !!!
