You need to climb a flight of stairs to get to the registration desk but they have a mirror looking down the stairs so someone came down to help us lug up our luggage. The staff was lovely and extremely helpful. The rooms are all located along an open air hallway with arch ways and wrought iron railings. You can pull up in front of the hotel but there's no long term parking so the most convenient place to park is the Hauptplatz TiefGarage located off the 129. Since there were 3 of us we had a room with a queen sized bed (actually 2 twins pushed together which is pretty typical in Austria) and a sofa that converted to a twin. The beds were comfortable but could have used more or firmer pillows. If you're looking for higher end toiletries, you'd better bring your own because you get the bare minimum. A fairly typical breakfast is included with the room. There was yogurt, cereals, different kinds of fruit, Straud Jams, cold cuts, cheeses, soft boiled eggs and an amazing assortment of breads. There was an assortment of teas, regular drip coffee and a machine that ground your beans and brewed your espresso or cappuccino for you.

This year we decided to bring our grown daughter to experience Linz and Germany. The hotel is eloquent, charming, clean, superb service, and has a delicious breakfast each morning. We wanted to be in the center of Linz, for easy access to shops and restaurants. Hotel Wolfinger was everything and more during our stay. Bathrooms are updated, large and extremely clean. We enjoyed everyday, felt at home, and appreciated the staffs kind words of direction if we asked. They must have lost their minds…read more We had booked this hotel for our make-over-event Princess for one day before - and were happy. This time, it took 19 mails to get a response from banquet. Nineteen. Then, they "forgot" to tell us that on the day of the event they were in the middle of a marathon and it would be at hour walk from the parking outside the city to the hotel. We had to refund quite a few of our seasoned participants - they just could not handle the walk. When checking out, they overly apologized for all this and more which I was able to forgive, as they charged us only for the rooms and not the event facilities which was possibly the only appropriate thing to do. Now, many months later, they charged the event facility to my credit card - without even sending any notice let alone a bill. We will never go there again - and dispute the credit card charge. After traveling all day we found the restaurant could not serve us food because the staff was taking care of a party. We asked if we order food out to bring in but we were not allowed to bring outside food into the bar area. No consideration for travelers. Courtyard, less than a mile away was fantastic!!
