Boy, I do not see the trip advisor hype. Yes the furniture is new and high quality but the bathroom is tiny and only came with two shower towels despite us having three guests and oddly not one washcloth anywhere for face washing. The sofa bed for my daughter is all springs and I suspect intolerable. Thank you for the fridge and water in the room.
The main bed and bedding are comfortable but the pillows are weirdly firm. The towels are small and scratchy. The room key is required for electricity, like Germany. The gym is in an external shed like building and the keys don't work to get in by default, most definitely feels like an afterthought. Parking is offsite and is limited to 25 spots and has no security measures whatsoever, and the lady at the desk was very strange about the charge wanting us to "keep a parking tab open" versus just pay for the night. She also would not complete check in until all of our bags were in the lobby, she wasn't trying to store them or offer any assistance with baggage. It was really strange to have these bizarre rules to adhere to, I have been traveling around the world for 25 years and I have never heard of a parking tab, nor a demand to dump the luggage in the lobby before you can receive a key. Normally, someone would say I need a card to cover the parking charge, but she went in depth into the Tab concept right away.
Staff has not been friendly at all with the exception of the breakfast staff, the desk clerks and bar staff have completely ignored us when coming and going, they must not be very happy here. Others have mentioned the rooms are small, I would say too narrow the space between the bed and tv stand is maybe 18" very easy to bang legs in a late night bathroom break. Location wise this feels quite far from the action, it's only a 10 minute walk to a meal but it feels far when you are tired from a long day. read more
