It is within a less than 5 minute walking distance to all the major sites in the piazza, including the Duomo, without having to navigate all of the circuitous roads. The hotel is right off the main road with on street parking available (if you are lucky). We booked a room at the last minute when our hotel in Siracusa lacked heat and decent parking (our car got pummeled by sea spray). When we arrived, the San Giorgio gave us a choice of rooms with even the option to tour each before choosing. The room was extremely spacious (see photo) with a very comfortable bed and lots of heat. The bathroom was huge and had a delightful shower. Breakfast was pretty good with cheese, bread, juice and sweets options. The views were especially lovely. Living in a 300+ year old stone farmhouse, I appreciate how hard it can be to push WiFi evenly throughout an old, stone building. WiFi was quite good. The hotel is a perfect blend of modern conveniences while retaining the beauty of its 19th century building. Check in and checkout was a breeze. When going to Ragusa, stay nowhere else. The ambiance could be improved using more candle lights and background music. The prices of the dishes are reasonable while the wine list is a little bit pricey and only listing Sicilian wines. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine (which was unfortunately not anymore sparkling). The starter was nice and tasteful while the main course was ok (even if the spinach as side dish were pretty salty). Service was attentive but in my opinion too much stiff.

Stayed here for two nights and it's not enough! I want an entire summer here. Stayed in an AirBnB in Siracusa before coming to Ragusa area. The difference between the two is heaven and earth. This small resort (about 20something rooms) offer baby cots (made by Chicco) and high chair in the dining room. They offer a variety of books (in different languages) for reading pleasure. They offer cappuccino, espresso, americano, and twinnings tea for breakfast. And about ten different Sicilian desserts for breakfast! Wow!
