We were absolutely blown away at what a great room and view we got for a reasonable price. It was off season but it was a holiday weekend - the big Nerja Carnival celebration. What we got was a great surprise! Our room was a sea facing junior suite. It was very large and had an awesome balcony view of the crashing sea and the Balcon de Europa. The room was well appointed and included a complimentary bottle of cava. It also came with breakfast. The mini frig and safe were a plus. Given the very loud nearby Carnival festivities we were extremely happy to be facing the sea - the surf was great white noise. Anyone with a room facing east must not have gotten much sleep this weekend. The only downside was the room was rather warm despite the cool weather even with the heat off and the balcony door open. The AC is turned off in winter (for us Americans who love AC anything over 72 F is too warm!). The breakfast buffet was very good with many options including freshly made crepes and omelets. All of the staff we encountered was very helpful especially at the front desk. They helped explain how to get the discounted parking rate at the nearby Plaza de Europa parking garage. They also acted as tech support for at least four us guests that were having trouble getting on their wifi (not sure if this is a one time issue if not they need to sort that out.) Overall an excellent experience and stay.

There are a number of apartments that overlook the Balcon which we are going to look into. PROS: -Large clean room and bathroom. -Roof top pool and jacuzzi! -Mini fridge -Location! Location! Location! Right on the touristy and overrated Balcony of Europe. Quick walk to the beach. Restaurants and shops everywhere. -Friendly staff. -Good standard Spanish continental breakfast. -Beach towels, umbrellas, and other beach gear can be borrowed for free. -Great value for only €163 for 2 nights! CONS: -None! Not sure if I'll ever return to Nerja, but if you ever plan on visiting this the best place to stay.

Originally i wanted to book something with a huge pool but figured why spend the money if it's too cold to swim. So i booked here. They have a pool but really nice and central. The place is really nice! The rooms are big with a desk for work geeks like us. The shower is awesome! and the breakfast is really good. work paying a few more to include that so you don't have to run out and grab something to eat. This hotel was my second choice and i'm glad i went with it over the one with a bigger pool. I think this hotel is better. The pool... yea i went in and yea it was COLD! But no one ever called me a chicken. I swam!

I went to Nerja - Spain in 2008, this was my very first holiday abroad and by heck it was hot…read more The hotel guest areas were lovely especially the Bar and the restaurant. The food was buffet style so you could go up as many times as you wanted, the food by the way was georgious and the service was good. The pool was small but looked inviteing, however it was always full of children so needless to say there wasnt much room left for me, which wasnt too much of a problem as the beach was minutes away down hill. When we had booked I had asked for a quiet room, unfortunately this is not quite what we had got. The room allocated to us was in a annex block that you went down to and on the night of our arrival it was Flamenco night, which would have been ok if our roof had not been the dance floor and that it went on till 3 in the morning! The room was basic and worn out, everything about it looked extremely tierd and in need of a holiday too, but it served a purpose and at least it had air conditioning. So not too bad for my first holiday abroad, would I go again, yes as long as I got a room in the main hotel.

I believe for econo prices shared bathrooms were possible when booking this place but we had a triple room with private bath. Everything was impeccably clean, felt extremely safe to touch things and walk in bare feet. Beds were comfortable and we all slept really well, with perfect thermostat regulation all night. Shower had great water pressure and never lost hot water even with 3 of us showering. Mini fridge was a good size and came in handy with groceries. Check-in was super easy. We arrived very late at night and they provided easy, clear instructions via text. There was a code to get in, then we were assigned a lockbox on the wall with another code, and our key was inside. Up the elevator, we helped ourselves to the room. Knowing Spain pretty well, I understand street structures in ancient cities are narrow and one-way, so you definitely want to drop part of your party off at the door and send your designated driver to go park. There are a few parking lots in Nerja with little street parking. It's a legit walk to parking lots as in most Spanish cities. This was a positive stay and we would recommend/stay again.

I was skeptical after reading some negative reviews but decided to give it a chance and I am so glad we did! We had a seaview room for such an affordable price! Not only did they surprise me with a bottle of champagne to our room on my birthday, but every aspect from the stay to the amenities to the food was lovely. PROS: -really good and affordable breakfast... they had fresh churros, made omelettes to order and were griddling pancakes fresh with a nice selection of breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, topping, juices, fresh fruit, etc -genuinely kind and helpful front desk staff -cute little library -surprisingly good and affordable lunch (we ate there a few times) -nice to sit in a shaded area and have cocktails with a view of the beach -beach front property -10 to 15 minutes walk to the center -blocks away to markets for snacks and water -parking on site for 15 euro a day (though it is definitely not made for large vehicles or the faint of heart to get down there!) -great value for the price (we loved waking up to the colors of the sunrise and taking naps to the sound of the sea) -baby friendly, they had a little cot for us in the room -2 pool options... one is very accessible in the main hotel and the other has rooftop views -super cool underground connection between the two buildings CONS: -as other reviewers have said, there is no iron in the rooms or onsite that you can borrow... this is something they should definitely remedy as it's really the only big issue we had (they did offer laundry services but it cost us about 16 euros to iron one dress, one shirt and one pair of pants for the wedding) -not really a con BUT I do think it would be nice if they had waiters at the pool to bring drinks instead of having to go to the bar -would have preferred blankets instead of thing sheets in the rooms but the AC was not very strong so I see why they don't put blankets ha

After driving 1.5 hours to Grenada we couldn't get to our hotel bc of Holy Week so we turned around and went back to Nerja. We backtracked and found the hotel on the beach we saw earlier. I was surprised to find the rate was only 85 euro for a sea view room that included breakfast too! So we booked it. The room was clean, beds comfy, and the balcony overlooked the ocean. We kept the sliding glass door opened all night to hear the sound of the waves. It was a perfect ending to an exhausting trip. They offer parking for a fee but we were lucky enough to find street parking. The breakfast was standard hotel buffet style - nothing fancy but a generous selection including eggs, different breads for toasting, coffee, tea, and juices. They also have a restaurant onsite or you can take an easy beautiful stroll on the beach boardwalk where you will find several other dining options. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were very well kept. They also offer free wifi that can be accessed outside too. I would def stay here again and highly recommend Nerja if you are traveling in Spain.
