**Hotel Review: Hotel FREIgeist, Northeim, Germany**
I recently stayed at Hotel FREIgeist during a two-week business trip, and I wanted to share my thoughts on the experience.
**Cleanliness and Room Quality:**
The hotel was clean, and my room was acceptable, which is a positive aspect. However, I found the overall experience to be lacking.
**Location:**
The hotel's remote location was a significant issue for me. It is quite isolated, which limited my dining options. Unfortunately, when I did attempt to order from the menu, I discovered that limited number of the items I wanted were unavailable. Basically eating burgers. However, their breakfast was good, I did enjoy that.
**Reservation Flexibility:**
One of the most disappointing aspects of my stay was the hotel's inflexibility regarding my reservation. I requested to check out early due to changes in my work schedule, but I was informed that I would need to pay 90% of my reservation fee to do so. In over 30 years of business travel, I have never encountered such a rigid policy. Adjusting travel plans is common in my line of work, and I have typically found hotels to be accommodating in these situations.
**Overall Experience:**
Given the limited dining choices and the stringent cancellation policy, I would not recommend Hotel FREIgeist for business travelers or anyone who prefers a variety of dining options. My experience was disappointing, and I will be informing my company about the situation in hopes that they reconsider including this hotel on our list of approved accommodations. read more
