I dare you to leave this restaurant feeling hungry..that's right, you can't because the portions…read moreare HUGE!!!!! We ate here at the recommendation of our guesthouse and were very happy with the quality, taste and value offered. The dining room is very nice, but jeans are acceptable. Since it was a nice night, we sat on the lovely patio and listened to birds while dining. Dinners come with a salad bar which has cold salads and salad of the lettuce variety. I started with a soup that had 3 different kind of dumplings - wow - it was delicious!! I'm a leberknodel lover and this was great. My schnitzel was two large cutlets (the size of my outstretched hand) a mountain of spaetzle and rich sauce. Hubs went for the brateller - there must have been 1+ lb of meat alone on the plate! Not to mention a pile of pommes frites, a potato pancake, a cheese fritter and a large dish of veg. Everything was well cooked, fresh and very delicious. For all of this plus some beers - €40. A very good value!

Both had exceptional taste. Salad bar was included in the price. The salad bar was clean and had a nice variety of salads. The service was good. The staff were younger and could help with ordering suggestions (in English if needed). The price was fair for the quality, large portions, and location. Note: Some meals can be ordered in a smaller size. This might be a good idea if you aren't famished.

The view and location can only be matched by the friendly service, delicious food and excellent rooms. We stayed a total of six nights, with our two young kids. The Maisonette overlooked the lake and had a breathtaking mountain view. We loved the simplistic yet elegant temporary design of our room. We enjoyed having two levels, two bathrooms and a private balcony. The room was extremely clean and room service was always prompt and super friendly. The owner family and staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. They would always make us feel welcome and have very helpful advice about the surrounding area. Breakfast on the outside patio with lake view is a wonderful start to the day, and the buffet is plentiful and kept changing. Homemade jams and juices were delicious. The cook absolutely perfected the art of frying an egg with Austrian bacon. After the breakfast we never needed lunch because it was so delicious and we just couldn't stop trying new combinations. Our kids could play in sight at the well equipped play ground, so even without a baby sitter we felt like being on date breakfast or date night. Most nights we tried to have dinner at their restaurant if we didn't have a long day trip and that was just as amazing as breakfast. We loved the innovative approach to traditional dishes. Food was of excellent quality and composition. Our kids enjoyed the traditional Austrian 'Kaiserschmarrn' while we indulged in a wonderful lamb roast or 'Kaesspatzle' ( cheesy noodles with fried onions). The staff is very knowledgable and observant. I used up a knife that was intended for the main dish and the waiter brought me a new one before I even had to ask. Also, the wine recommendations are spot on. Once a week they host a breakfast at the other end of the lake if the weather cooperates. They bring the guests over on their tour boat and host a high quality breakfast al fresco at no extra cost. It was an amazing event and we went swimming afterwards. We will never forget this event! They serve everything on fine china and have seat cushions and table cloths even in this outdoor picnic setting. They absolutely raised the bar! So, we are planning on returning hopefully soon. This place is a piece of paradise!!! And there is so much more to discover and see!
