What an amazing festive hotel! We stayed here the weekend the Christkindlesmarkt opened. (FYI:…read morePrices practically triple at this time so beware and plan accordingly.) The Noris Hotel provides superior customer service. If you need anything (Example: Soap, Iron, Ironing Board, Towels) they are quick and prompt to deliver them personally to your room. The room is spotless and very modern looking. Our room had a loft feel. Living area and bathroom below equipped with a mini bar and fridge. The upstairs was a very open plan with a comfortable sleeping area and tv. There was also a balcony that we did not use, but was beautiful to see the snow outside. We did not eat in the restaurant within the hotel, but we did enjoy a pretty good breakfast there our final morning. The bar offers a variety of beverages at night that we enjoyed one evening back after dinner. Staff shower great customer service. We felt so at home at this hotel and the Christmas spirit was really brought to life with their beautiful decor. The hotel is a good 15 minute walk from the city center. It is not bad and as long as you have a warm coat, it is very doable. A taxi ride ranges from 8-15 euros to the center. The only negative thing I can mention is their wifi. Their costs get very expensive for unlimited access daily. Apparently the codes bought can only be used one per device which gets very pricey when you have multiple cellular devices and a laptop. I was disappointed on that aspect, but everything else was a winter land dream getaway. I have also filmed some videos on my travel vlog including many clips from the hotel and around Nuremberg. :) Hopefully this helps you better plan your holidays. The breakfast was phenomenal, and was in the cutest room. The whole hotel felt like a castle. I seriously would want to like have my wedding there or something. I felt like a princess the whole time and it wasn't even that expensive! The room had good heating, lots of charm, a comfortable bed, a TV, and a very nice bathroom. I wish the gym had a treadmill, but frankly I'm happy they had a gym at all with a bike. I really have no complaints. Everything about this hotel was wonderful. And if you're wondering about the location, don't worry for a moment. It's about a three minute walk from the train station (I know what you're thinking, but I promise this train station isn't dodgy at all and there are no bad characters hanging around, so it's totally safe!) sits in the middle of the wonderful Main Street for shopping, Christmas markets, and fruit stands. It's right by a few museums, too! You honestly couldn't ask for a better location. The walls were thick in the hotel so you never heard a sound from the street or other rooms either. Again, this was one of the absolute best hotels I've ever stayed at in my life.

The streets all around this hotel are impossibly tiny, so be prepared to do some squeezing! Thank goodness they have their own dedicated parking - I don't know how we would have done it otherwise. They only have a certain number of spaces, but believe me, they pack the cars in. I didn't mind, as long as we had a space I was happy! Entering the hotel you have to go up a small flight of stairs, but once inside they do have an elevator. The people at the check in desk were super friendly which was so nice. They had a Nurnberg map and showed us where we were, how to get to things, etc. It was awesome! Our room was on the 5th floor, so we had a beautiful rooftop view of the city. The window were wide open (since they have no air conditioning) and the breeze was so nice. They also had fans, so the temperature didn't bother us at all. When you walked into our room you were in a small side with a single bed and closet area, and then you turned and walked down a tiny hall to a bigger room with two beds, dresser, etc. The bathroom was off of this room. Everything was neat, clean, and well done - no complaints of any kind. Wifi was excellent and easy to access, and despite open windows no traffic or other noise. Loved the morning sunrise view from our window! Breakfast was well done and yummy - lots of options (multiple types of breads, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, fruit). Even some U.S. breakfast food like bacon! That made our day! We were checking out at 9am, but weren't leaving until mid afternoon. They let us keep our car in the lot until 2pm which was greatly appreciated! The morning clerks were very friendly too, and it was wonderful to see our first stop, the castle, was only about a 5 minute walk. We got to spend all morning in old town, and after lunch we strolled back and got our car. LOVED this place and would definitely stay again!

The staff seemed very eager to help in any way, and helped to make our one night here more pleasant. They have a tiny tiny parking lot with tiny, individual garages that cost an extra €5 per night, which seemed very reasonable. Wi-fi was free, but you need the front desk to create a login name and password for you, which you'll need every time you want to connect online (slightly annoying, but whatevs). Free breakfast was included, and was actually quite extravagant for a free continental breakfast.

Super nice receptionist doubles as restaurant staff next door. Rooms were clean and spacious for 2 with a small sofa and small desk area. Very comfortable for 2. What a disaster... When my husband and niece arrived at this hotel and went up to their room, they…read morediscovered there was only one double bed. They immediately went to the reception desk to ask for another room with either a queen bed or two single beds. They were told there were no other rooms available. My niece explained that it would be unacceptable for the both of them to sleep together in such a small bed. The original person with whom they spoke seemed flustered and was unable to deal with the situation. This young woman then went to the bar to ask another young woman for help. This young woman told my niece, not to worry, she would have a cot sent to the room. They thought the situation was resolved. It was not! Later, when my niece and husband returned to the room, there was no cot. When they went to the reception desk, another woman stated there were no cots. My niece, again, explained the situation and what they had been told. The third woman consulted with the two young girls, who would not come the desk to speak to my husband and niece, because they could not face being liars. The incompetence and lack of knowledge of the staff was quite amazing. The two young girls lied in a cowardly manner and told the third representative they did not tell my husband and niece the hotel would provide a cot. We have had problems with hotels in America, as everyone who lives here and travels has at some point in time, but we have not encountered liars. My niece then spoke to a gentleman (if you can call someone who is unwilling to help visitors in another country) who refused to believe what happened and would not provide any additional assistance. My husband and niece left the hotel late at night to find another place to stay. If this hotel and its representatives had any class someone would have apologized and called another hotel to get a reservation. What scam artists!!! Very poor customer skills by all. We were granted a refund by American Express, who provides extraordinary customer service, but the hotel rebilled us asking for proof of their dishonorable behavior. Now I can only think those working at this hotel have no ethics since they are basing their charge on their representatives lying to visitors. Such a lack of sophistication and professional is quite amazing. I wonder if the people working at the hotel even have the ability to be embarrassed by their behavior.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable to direct guest and make suggestions for the area including restaurants and activities. Morning breakfast here is simple but filling, including eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruits, and various pastries. It is a small hotel with generously sized rooms. It proved to be the PERFECT location as we could open our windows and look directly at The Christmas Markets which are held there every winter! Making purchases at The Christmas Markets and walking it up to the room, coming down for more and repeat! Absolutely perfect! Some of the best restaurants and The Frauenkirche (church) is also a stone's throw from the hotel.
