You have…read moreto drive through a small town with narrow streets to get to the property, but from the moment they open the gates to the Villa you feel like you got transported to an ancient Roman garden. The Villa itself looks historical and surreal. The property is very big and will take your breath away-beautiful flowers, lash grass, old trees-all surrounded by old little buildings, structures, ponds and statues. The location is perfect- right on the lake with it's own jetty and beach. The hotel has several bars and restaurants. We tried them all and both the decor and the food were absolutely the best. The complimentary breakfast buffet had the true five star selection-berries and tropical fruit, large selection of honey, cheeses, yoghurt and dozens of freshly baked pastries; not to mention the delicious coffee. The lunches and dinners were expectedly pricey but also very delicious. The room overlooked the lake and you could also see the Sirmion Castle towers. The customer service was top notch. The private parking was very convenient and they provided shuttle service into town or throughout the property. We will definitely be back.

Food at the hotel was great quality and the restaurant staff were very attentive and welcoming. There is also a nice relaxed bar which some nights has entertainment (piano player etc). I used the indoor pool a few times and never saw anyone else in there, its a hidden gem! I think we were a little younger than most of the guests (we were 28) but this meant there was a nice relaxed feel to the hotel and pool area. There was a couple of families with younger children but the majority of guests were older couples. This location is great for a relaxing and / or romantic break.

The breakfast was 5 euros, fresh cakes and pastries, cereals, eggs, cold cuts and veggies, and a wonderful coffee machine! We walked everywhere from the hotel, shops, restaurants, just a few minutes' walk to the Arena and Piazza Bra. The wifi was good. We booked it sight-unseen, and it's rather plain on the outside, but it truly was the perfect hotel for a great visit to Verona!

We are planning to come back in the winter time since we are here at the end of May. The spa facilities are coed and everyone is respectful and courteous. Americans aren't used to this but it's very clean and professional. Nothing to feel uncomfortable about. We are excited to come again and one of our favorites

They had cold meats and cheeses, yogurt parfaits, cereals, fruit, a coffee bar, a juice bar, fresh pastries and a very functional breakfast area, with a very accommodating staff. One of the front desk, young ladies spoke Italian, English, Spanish, and German, she was very helpful in providing a map and showing us where to go to have an epic Sunset view.

I couldn't be more satisfied with the location. As for the hotel itself, very elegant. The highlight for me was the lounge area that had refreshments and snacks. Every time prior to heading out, stopped by for a quick snack and enjoyed a couple glasses of prosecco. The lounge seats are so comfortable and I frequently saw the staff fluff up the cushions whenever someone leaves. The bar area is also a very cozy area to park yourself and enjoy a cocktail. There are several "study" areas with chairs and tables which played well with their name of the "Accademia". The hotel room itself was also very cozy and comfortable. Nicely sized room and bathroom to fit my luggage in the room and toiletries on the bathroom counter without feeling cramped.

Its location could not be better as it is located in the middle of the historic district and literally a few steps from the Arena. There are many trendy shops and restaurants of all types nearby and you are in easy walking distance of most of the sights of Verona. Traffic is highly restricted in the historic district so there isn't any street noise and with the windows shut the room was very quiet. We had one of the rooms with a balcony which was very nice for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Our room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was modern. The breakfast is good but not spectacular. All of the staff however have been outstanding. They are friendly and helpful and have made our stay a real pleasure. Verona is a low key city compared to Rome and Florence but has excellent sights, isn't touristy, isn't crowded (at least October) and we have eaten better here than any other place in Italy. We would definitely recommend the Hotel Giulietta e Romeo.
