When we got here we did not expect a rather modern hotel to be built at that corner. This hotel surprised us because we intend to find Airbnb-ish places to stay to get a feel of the local vibe. Our room was huge and it's the end unit on a upper floor. However we did not regret and we enjoyed the comfort and amenities of this hotel. It's in the diagonal district of Barcelona and it's a great location yet quiet enough for a good night sleep. The commercial parts of the Barcelona can REALLY keep you up at night.

Pro's: * Clean rooms with good working airco (stayed during…read morea historical heatwave and the room was still cool) * Friendly staff (I had an issue with my hotel room safe and they went the extra mile to solve it) * Good value for money if you book in advance * Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby (had breakfast in the neighborhood everyday, much cheaper and delicious!), 24/7 convenience store less than 2 mins walk. Con's: * Not centrally located but wasn't too bothered by that since there is public transport and a hop-on hop-off bus stop nearby. * Difficult to get taxi's on weekend nights to get into the city (but might be something everywhere in Barcelona) * Feels a bit outdated, quite basic, not much luxury * Pool and gym at the hotel across the street and limited opening hours (gym only opens at 9?!?) * Expensive if you don't book well in advance. I stayed with three friends in June 2022 and had a pretty good experience here, we initially only booked 2 rooms (about 8 weeks in advance) and added a third one much later at almost double the price. 4 stars if you pay the early price, 3 if you pay the premium.
