I recently spent three nights at Hotel La Coma with my family, and I can't recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and hospitality of the team made us feel completely at home. At the front desk, Anna greeted us with a welcoming smile and was always helpful with local recommendations and thoughtful touches. Her calm, attentive presence set the tone for the entire stay. In the restaurant, we were consistently impressed by the professionalism and warmth of Xavi, the restaurant manager. His attention to detail, kindness, and thoughtful service elevated every meal into a special experience. And the food! Chef Aleyoa creates dishes that are both comforting and refined -- every plate was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, with stunning views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Waking up to that scenery each morning was a real highlight. The hotel's amenities added to the experience -- the indoor pool and sauna were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the ping pong table provided fun downtime for the whole family. With so many hiking trails and outdoor activities nearby, the location is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy nature at its best. Hotel La Coma is more than a place to stay -- it's a place where people genuinely care about making your visit memorable. A heartfelt thank you to Anna, Xavi, and Chef Aleyoa for your kindness and excellence. We'll definitely be back!

El Castell de Ciutat is located about ten kilometers from the border of Andorra, in the Urgellet Valley. The hotel is a somewhat cozy structure of wood sitting below the castle of Seu d'Urgell. Also, the hotel rooms all have balconies that provide impressive views of the Cadi Mountains. We were on a Tauck tour that arranged the owners of the Hotel/Castle to be sure that our stay was a memorable one. They arranged on our first evening live music concert in the castle, on another evening, a private cheese tasting and dinner event in the castle. But what was an interesting and somewhat educational event was the start to finish the making of a seafood paella. The best part we had the pleasure to eat it for lunch with some fabulous wine. So besides a great activities that we had the great pleasure to enjoy the hotel has a beautiful spa and heated indoor swimming pool. I truly enjoyed our visit very much and we must also commend the director of our Tauck tour that was a large part of our wonderful experience at the El Castell de Ciutat.

Situated on a bluff overlooking the charming, upscale small city of Le Seu d' Urgell, this family run resort is truly lovely. It's only 10 minutes to the Andorran border, so we spent an entire day hiking high up in El Serrat. Following a day of hiking it's great to come back to the pool, the terrace and a glass of wine. A couple of service glitches and one issue -- it turned out to be minor -- was the wifi. It was weak and spotty and It simply did not work in our room, so we needed to go to the lobby to communicate back home or use google. I'd love to give 5 stars, but the WiFi and service issues didn't measure up to that level. But in all, a truly lovely stay.

The room I was in had two big palm trees blocking part of the sunset, still it was beautiful. The breakfast buffet is out of this world. Two rooms of food and beverage. Everything you could ever want for breakfast. Including a champagne cocktail. There is a small indoor pool, but nice jacuzzi area overlooking the Mediterranean. You have to get towels at the front desk for both the pool and the beach, which seems a bit odd, but not too bad if you remember ahead of time. The beach just below the hotel is too small, but down the path 200m is a larger beach that is sufficient with great views. I would highly recommend eating at Gastromar. They share the same kitchen as Michelin-rated El Brancs. The Turbot, cocktails, and dessert were excellent here.

There was no real need to leave this hotel. You can find all the relaxing you need here and it had hands down the most beautiful little cove beach and views that we saw along the coast! Felt like a 60s movie star swansong, with its cascading balconies, views, slow dining in the restaurants, and fun throwback cocktails in whimsical glassware. The breakfast was wonderful, and for lunch and dinners we ate at all three restaurants. The fare at all 3 is similar, but gets elevated in old fashioned elegance as you rose up each level. They all served seafood and we had an amazing white wine from the local vinyard! We did expect to see more "lunchy" items like fries, calamari, panini/pizzette at the beach level pirate dock bar -like more of a beach shack - but they are literally prepping out of a cool cave in the wall so no fryer is a minor thing, and it was a cheerful seaside vantage for a long lunch or drinks. Do reserve dinner upstairs as the restaurants can fill up. Last, shout-out to the welcoming help of the team at the front when you arrive! This place is a unique and romantic dream!
