The hotel is located on the mountain high above the town of Amalfi. The views are spectacular. Each room has a balcony overlooking the sea, and waking up to this view every morning was delightful and relaxing. The room where we stayed was room 502 which has been recently renovated. The room was the perfect size for 2 of us, and included a bed, fridge, safe, mural, dresser, tea/coffee pot, bathroom with rain shower and a hand held shower, tub, toilet and bidet. There is a mini bar which we did not use except for bottled water (cost of 2 Euro). I know we had housekeepers, as our room was restocked and serviced beautifully daily, but the housekeepers were like ninjas. They were in and out but we never saw them. The front desk staff and bar/restaurant staff were so nice and friendly and humored us as we tried to speak a little bit of Italian. Each day included a delicious breakfast buffet and made to order eggs, pancakes, and coffees/tea/juices. We had a tablet placed in our room to order room service and communicate our needs to the staff. Included in the room is a very handy shuttle that runs throughout the day to take guests to Amalfi. Some local restaurants will send a driver to pick up and drop off guests who are dining with them. If you want to experience Amalfi without the noise and hustle and bustle then this hotel is a perfect fit!

This is the second generation of family that own and run this beautiful place. They are right on the Mediterranean and the service is above and beyond, you feel like you belong there. Gabriella is one of the amazing family members. She referred us to Silvano Imparato who was our driver for Positano and the Amalfi Coast which was the best day ever. Tony who works at Hotel Villa Garden is such a gentleman and he always remembered what I liked to drink. You feel safe and comfortable. The garden is stunning and the tables above the sea for dining were perfect for sunsets and exquisite food. Fun just chilling by the pool and our room was spacious and the views were magnificent. Our room faced the back of the hotel giving a stunning sunrise. Dinner was well prepared and we got to literally choose our fish for dinner. The hotel arranged an all day boat outing for our group of 4 along the Amalfi coast. We had a beautiful day!! The only down side is this place is tucked a bit away so we did a bit of driving - watch out for very narrow roads and scooters that weave through traffic. Driving in Italy as an adventure to say the least! There is also a little grocer named Roger 4 doors down from the hotel who is an American expat and was super helpful and had what we needed. The next hotel was not nearly as nice- we hated to leave.

Five star property here. I had a hard time finding the entrance while driving in but found an…read morealley about one car width with a security guard. I drove in down a long pathway and was able to park in close proximity to the entrance. The security guard notified the front desk so they greeted my outside. The porter took my bags inside. I had arrived before check-in time so I had some time to explore the property before seeing my room. The garden area outside is very nice! I was told that the hotel would be closing for winter in a few days time and that is was slow. Since they did not have high occupancy, they upgraded me for free from a garden view to an ocean view. After 30 minutes or so the room was ready and I was escorted to see the room. It was quite impressive as there was the room itself but had a "sitting room" next it is so it was basically a suite. There was a door to the balcony that had a table for two and an ocean view. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and a Panettone loaf. The room was nice an had everything except for a coffee maker. There was no hot water pitcher either. The bathroom had a toilet where the seat was not aligned to the toilet which is scary for a man as a pinched ball sack would not be good. This property is right next to Piazza Tasso which is the main square and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a bar onsite as well as a Michelin starred restaurant called Terrazza Bosquet. The restaurant was good and the staff were amazing, front desk, concierge, bell staff and restaurant staff. Customer Service is a big priority here. A few small tweaks needed but was a five star experience!

Everyone is very professional and helpful and they go out of their way to ensure you are satisfied. The staff assisted me in my hotel/airport transfers and was very helpful in obtaining a water taxi or car to visit nearby cities. There is an elevator that takes you down to the beach level, where you can relax and enjoy a drink or lunch. The private beach has beautiful clear blue water for swimming and a dock where you can catch a water taxi. From the elevator, there is a path that winds through an alluring tunnel, with interesting glimpses of the rugged coastline. The Grand Hotel Tritone is the ideal place to stay when visiting the Amalfi Coast. The little town of Praiano, is intimate and quiet after a long day of touring. The hotel provides a free shuttle in the evening into the Praiano town center each evening, where you can grab a bite to eat at some of the local favorite restaurants. I highly recommend staying at the Grand Hotel Tritone, when you visit the Amalfi Coast. I've shared and recommended the hotel to all my family and closest friends.

Giovanna and Julian were so helpful at assuring we had all the comforts. They assisted with reservations and transportation, and were so very pleasant. The views from the hotel were spectacular as it overlooks the Mediterranean Sea with a view of Mount Vesuvius. Restaurants abound in the area and ferries are close to the pier. The train station is 10 minutes away and you are close to Sorrento and Naples. The accommodations were comfortable and relaxing. I cannot day enough about this wonderful experience. I would give 10 stars if I could.

The rooms are clean, stylish, and roomy...even the smallest room. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and many restaurants...if you stayed a week you could eat at a different place for lunch and dinner without going to the same restaurant twice. You feel that they really want you there. Location is only five minutes walk to Capri town centre so really easy to get to. And finally, the breakfast. We have been in Italy for two months and hands down the best breakfast. The omlettes are delicious. I had the broccoli one three days in a row (which isn't actually broccoli as we know it in North America - more like rapini). And those cakes!!!!! Good thing we were three days because having two pieces of cake in the morning on top of an omlette is a bit much LOL. The coffee is delicious along with the fresh orange juice. Just a wonderful stay. It is just an oasis and we highly recommend. (And I think this is the longest review I have ever written but it deserves it).

We also enjoyed taking about wine with Raffaele and chatting with other visitors in the wine bar. Raffaele had great suggestions of how to spend our time and where to eat. The shuttle service from the ferry is much appreciated. At first the walk into town was daunting (you must walk a little ways on the main road) but we got the hang of it. Pro tip #1: take Raffaele's advice about where to eat vs relying on yelp. Pro tip #2: we visited at the end of October and many things were closed down and it wasn't possible to do any boating excursions. It was still a nice visit but definitely a consideration!

The food is fantastic and you might even bump in to a familiar face. The rich, famous and recognizable abound and it's a perfect setting to hear the stories of as much. With basic lodging starting around 2,000€ nightly, everything is as it should be, exceptional.
