The breakfast was delicious, you could get everything found at any breakfast restaurant, here. Sammy would make you a special omelet each morning. It was a breakfast for everyone. The atmosphere was warm friendly and welcoming. The tours and guides were remarkable, they made sure we knew the history of everywhere we went. Our stay was everything we dreamed it to be, all the guests were wonderful and friendly, we enjoyed everyone's hospitality.

Our tour guide Chloe was fun and informative and made sure we were taken care of the entire way there and back! I enjoyed the hospitality and excellent customer service and already can't wait for my next visit!

I've stayed at Hotel Zugspitze twice now, and had good stays both times…read more Service is friendly (and english-speaking), even volunteering to call the local cable-car to confirm whether it was open or not before we drove out to it. The location is excellent, just a hundred meters or so from the main pedestrian area of Garmisch, but easy to drive to as well. There is some street parking nearby, but they also have a small parking garage for ~$10/day, which you probably want to reserve in advance if you think you might want a guaranteed spot. The rooms are traditional european, but everything is clean and well maintained. The mattresses have always been firm but not hard, and the showers in good shape. If you get lucky enough to have a room facing the street, you'll also get some amazing views of the Zugspitze itself! The amenities are excellent as well; the indoor pool area is lovely, and has both a pool and a good-sized hot tub. Breakfast is definitely above average as well! Overall a great choice in Garmisch; maybe not the cheapest, but a good deal for what you get.

Moved from 5 stars to 4 for the shower issue which took two days to fix and the fact that they advertise free parking, but the free parking spaces are quite limited. Room - The staff was very and when we checked in, personally showed us to our room which was a nice touch. They also provided recommendations on where to eat in the area and offered to make the reservation for us. - We had a room with a balcony that looked out onto the mountain...it was stunning. I sat out there for hours just staring at the mountain. Balcony comes with a table and 2 chairs. Perfect to watch the sunset. - Beds were hard (I overheard other people complaining at breakfast), I was fine with it or maybe just super tired. The pillows were so thin that they were uncomfortable. You needed to stack two, maybe three. Location - Perfect location to walk around the town (where you can't drive). Breakfast - YES. Come with an apetite because the breakfast is delicious and comes with your stay. Head down to the breakfast area and there are two indoor areas to sit and outside. - Many options from breads like roast, rolls, croissants, chocolate croissants and more. - Salmon, meats, cheese. - Cereal - Hot food items which consisted of sausage, bacon, eggs and one grilled vegetable - The best part about the breakfast are their drinks. A few types of juices, water, tea options and unlimited coffee. They have two coffee machines which make all types of coffee, hot chocolates, etc. Parking - There are maybe 6 free spots in front of the hotel. Good luck getting one of these. The hotel told us spaces open up around 10-12 but we never saw one. - You can park in their garage for 12 euros a day. - There's free street parking around the corner which is what we did. Pool - There is a heated pool which we didn't use but looked nice!

We had a large beautiful room with a balcony to sit on and overlook the amazing view of the Alps. The breakfast and dinner were included in our price, and the 5-course dinner every night was by far the best food we had on our entire trip. We loved the spa and all of the options and amenities. I've never been so relaxed. On top of all this, still, the best part of this hotel was the service. These employees go above and beyond to get you anything you need and make you feel comfortable. We can't wait to get an opportunity to go back there!

It was easy to find once we got into town. We were greeted by the friendliest employees. Michael was the man who assisted us with our bags, and showing us to our room. He was such a nice guy and continued to check on us throughout our stay to make sure everything was to our liking. Our room was clean and comfortable and large, with a small patio. It was simply decorated and we were both so comfortable the whole stay. Their breakfast buffet was INCREDIBLE. Fruits, meats, breads, quark, coffee, juices....YUM! We also got set up with bikes so we could scoot around town. That was awesome that they offered that free deal. It gave us the opportunity to see the town in a different way. The staff are extremely helpful and prompt and if you need any help they are always wiling to help. Like many hotels in Germany don't expect air conditioning as this is not common. In the summer months leave your windows open and hope for the best.
