Either you check-in at this place, or you go to the hostel a few blocks away. This is the only hotel in town, and boy, do they know it. My Family and I booked 2 rooms for 1 night, because my aunts was having her birthday party at the Restaurant Borgen (recommendable). The rooms we're 800 kr (about 130 dollars) pr. night each. What we opened our door to, was worn out rooms, and a bathroom that smelled of sewer. The only positive thing, I guess, was that the sheets were new (I hope). The next morning, we were a little hung-over and hoping that the complimentary breakfast could satisfy our hunger. It didn't. This was a breakfast buffet, that makes the standard Comfort Inn continental breakfast seems like a 5 star resort. The rolls we're gooie and not heated properly from their frozen state. The Coffee was not even worth it. My Lipton Tea was okay combined with their boiled water.....Head for the Restaurant Borgen for brunch instead. My advice is that you spend as little time in your room as possible. But it's either this or the hostel if you need a place to stay in Vordingborg.

For dinner, it's best to be seated right when they open at 6pm as dishes do sell out as it seems they have a limited amount some of the fresh ingredients. Otherwise, perhaps it's possible to ask them to hold a particular dish for you, especially if you are staying in the hotel. The staff of the hotel were very kind and relaxed. Im using Scandlines Danmark ferries regularly every year last 6 years. Some of the boats are better…read morethan another, but I have to say they are always correct and they deliver everything they promise. I never had any problem with them. Only thing I would improve is free internet on board. Many ppl are traveling from foreign countries and It would help them to have access to internet, so they can plan what is next, while they are sailing. There is nothing much else for another 40 minutes to do, except shopping or to have fast snack, coffee.
