Anruf bei HRS. Sie drohen dem Hotel mit einer Untersuchung durch das Qualitätsmanagement. Plötzlich war ein Zimmer frei. Nachdem ich bemerkte, ich müsse mir noch überlegen, ob ich das Zimmer nehme, wurde ich des Hauses verwiesen.

Lowlight was the young blonde lady at check in. She was the rudest service person I've met in my life and I live in LA so that's saying a lot. She kept ignoring my questions and raised her voice at me when I asked for more information. She had a terrible attitude and gave me zero info about the hotel, even basics like check out time and booked me in a room without even checking on what type of room I wanted. The food next door was disgusting tho those people were much nicer than that blonde bitch. If you do book there do it thru Hotwire so you can get the best rate and not have to deal with blondie's antics at check in.

The hotel faced a big park, so it was nice to wake up to sunshine and greenery when opening the curtains. Rooms were big enough and very clean, and staff was very friendly. But hands down, the best part of our stay was breakfast. When hotels in North America include free breakfast, it's usually sodium-bombed meats, half-cooked scrambled eggs, cereal, coffee and tea. I was expecting something similar here... NOPE! Before me was a wide array of hams, cheeses, spreads, breads, sausages, cereals, and eggs. SO GOOD. I will never forget that breakfast. Dat German hospitality.

I do remember the lobby smelled very smoky, but fortunately, the smell did not extend into our room. Breakfast, which is included free of charge, was pretty typical; I enjoyed it. The hotel staff spoke good English and also, the hotel had a small parking on the side of the building, which was nice. The hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants, all in the center of town. Overall, it was a perfectly good place, but I can't think of a single thing about the place that was above average, so I give it 3 stars.

The room was average sized for Germany and this price point. I did enjoy the location-there are several cafes and restaurants within walking distance (including across the street). While the street is busy, I easily slept through the night with both windows open. I had last minute laundry to do, and it was so nice being able to have the open windows to help with dry the clothes. Our floor was exceptionally quiet-I only ever heard the housekeeper the next morning when we were leaving. I thought the breakfast was extensive and had a dedicated restaurant area that was quite large. They had packaged muffins, which was perfect for a snack later on.
