Hotel Brennero is a wonderful gem about 15 minutes (by car) from the Porta Nuova train station and about 8-10 minutes by bus or taxi from the city center.
Maria Teresa is the manager and part owner of a fine family establishment. She speaks multiple languages and thankfully for our familiy, she speaks great English and Spanish. She is incredibly helpful, and provided us with tips for obtaining a Verona card (for the bus and entrances to different museums and landmarks), and she also recommended lovely restaurants.
The room was extremely clean, well decorated, and had a beautiful view of the river. The room was air conditioned, and during this heat wave--it was perfect! So much so it got too cold for us in the room. The outside shutters were perfect to block out the bright morning sun. The hotel also provided free access to wifi and free parking.
The breakfast was really amazing and delicious. They serve a great spread of options from coffee and juices, yogurts, gluten-free options, eggs, waffles, and sandwiches. Wow!
My family and I plan to return to this hotel the next time we are in Verona. read more
