Took forever to check in because apparently we needed a passport. Once we got to our room it smelt…read morelike cigarettes and it was disgusting. The overall room is okay, nothing special at all in my opinion, also fyi the bathroom doesn't have a lock which kinda stinks. Anyway another complaint I have was the WiFi it wasn't working very well at times during our stay but sometimes it did work, I definitely wouldn't rely on it working if you go. The one thing I was surprised about was the food. A lot of people said the food isn't good here but I must say it was decent. They had delicious pasta and potatoes and a bunch of nice salad options (it was a buffet). Besides the food nothing really stands out, pretty disappointing hotel.

This ranks as one of the best hotels I stayed while on my Spanish Tour. It's quite upscale and has…read morea striking elliptical structure which really wows when you enter the hotel lobby. The location was great as there is a grocery store next door and it was easy to walk around and get to the local train station and explore the neighbourhood. Beds were super comfy and decor wise it was very modern and sleek. Loved the window shades design and how they came down to shield the room from the hot sun. Free Wi-fi had great signal strength and I wish I could have checked out the Spa - the treatments sounded wonderful! I also got to try out the free breakfast buffet - it was excellent and featured international-fusion choices. Overall, was very happy with the stay here and wouldnt mind booking it again. It is actually open, so don't abandon hope. While I am not a huge fan of hotel restaurants we chose to stay in since it was raining (and they offered no umbrellas) and there is absolutely nothing nearby to walk to anyway. The French onion soup was going to be my all time favorite white onion soup but the chef burned the Emmental cheese on top--below the topping is was really good. Unfortunately I could taste it in nearly every bit--so disappointing. Did I mention it was raining and we didn't want to go out again? My fault not wanting to navigate in the rain. Huge huge room (see photo). We needed a Sherpa to find the bathroom! Giant whirlpool tub separate from the shower. Good value for the buffet breakfast which was 7,5 euros and good selections. Huge lobby which reminds me of those palatial hotels in Turkmenistan which aren't occupied by any living being. Wait, this place is called The Granada Palace. Overall, a great stay until the two mega tour buses decided to back up outside our room but it was time to get up anyway.

No breakfast or drinks until 1, which is a huge problem as there is nothing remotely close to the hotel as far as other options go. Want ice for your room after 11? Forget it, after the cafe closes there is nothing available. Not even a ice machine. Maybe I'm a spoiled American. But even a holiday inn has a vending machine and ice machine available. Overall I'd come back, but with my own cooler of supplies.
