I stayed here for four nights with my mother and my grandmother in one room with three twin sized beds. This hotel is not a luxury hotel, so don't come expecting extra amenities like hair dryers. Everything in the room was adequate. It had everything that we needed like shampoo, toilet paper, and closet space. It was clean in the bedroom and in the bathroom, so we never felt like it was grody or gross. Although, we had a non-smoking room but our room always smelled like cigarettes because people are allowed to smoke in the hallways (which are all indoor).
The morning breakfast buffet was pretty nice. They have the same assortment of bread, meats, cheeses, yogurt, granola, and hard boiled eggs every day. What really made our stay at Hotel Aron a bummer was the reception staff. I had two good experiences with the reception clerks throughout my five days there, and we had to interact at least twice every day minimum to drop off the room key and pick it up when we got home (the reception desk requires you to leave your room key at the desk and pick it up when you come back to the hotel)! Also, The staff could NOT do more than one task at a time or they would get way overwhelmed. God help them if there is more than one person at the desk requiring assistance. The women especially were snotty and outright rude. I can understand cultural differences and stuff, but man, a little common courtesy goes a long way. They also offer to call you a taxi for 350 Karuna one way into town, but if you arrange a taxi by yourself ahead of time, the price is typically about 150 Karuna. The hotel gets a huge cut! I suggest getting the number for a Fair Place taxi driver and arranging your transportation yourself.
Next time I would like to stay closer to central Prague. I would suggest this hotel only for young travelers and for those who can afford the bare necessities. read more
