I'm new to rc cars. Found Hot Rock Hobbies on internet. Been there a couple of times. They are very friendly and polite. She gave me all kind of information on my car. Repair my car for me when I broke my wheel. Recommend Rock Hobbies to everyone with a rc car. read more

We went to Hot Rock Hobbies yesterday after a really bad experience with a R/C store in Southern California. Lisa and I are looking for a new hobby we can do and still be safe with Covid. So decided to give R/C cars a try. We wanted to get some education before we made a purchase as R/C vehicles can be expensive. We went to OC/RC in Huntington Beach and we're treated like dirt (no pun intended ) and were told the only way into the hobby was to spend over $1000 each yet they offered ZERO help in advising how to get started much less help with what to buy. We decided to wait till our next visit to Havasu to give Hot Rock Hobbies a look. Boy are we glad we waited. Hot Rock is a family owned and run business and the entire family came out to help teach us about the cars. Rachel spent a ton of time teaching us about the different types of cars! Her son even bought out a few of his personal cars to show is the differences in the types of cars he runs. Then Jeremiah came out and reprogrammed a car we bought used somewhere else to see if we would like the hobby. The entire family was so nice and so helpful. Lisa bought herself a new truck that day! This is a great store and we are lucky to have them in Havasu! Thank you to the entire family for all of your help!!! read more

Cons- closed 3 days a week. Pros- friendly knowledgeable staff. Worked with me to get two traxxas up and running bought off marketplace. read more

If you're into anything RC..... this is the place to go. Family owned and operated. Every time we've been there, everyone has been so helpful. I don't do the RC thing, but got them for my grandkids. Everything we needed, they had, and they took the time to show me how to help them learn, Great addition to the Lake Havasu community!! read more

Very helpful & knowledgeable about my sons' RC boats! They knew the in's & out's of everything and had all the parts stocked and readily available. From what I can tell, they are family owned, honest people, and genuinely will go out of their way to help w/out marking up prices. They were even so kind to keep the store open for me past closing hours, because I wasn't going to make it on time. My only complaint was the accessibility of store hours. The hours they are open are limited because they live a few towns outside of lake havasu. But even with the unavailability of hours, as I said before, they are more than willing to stay open and accommodate. I highly recommend this store for all of your parts, servicing, and advice when it comes to RC toys and anything alike! read more

Great spot for RC! Have all the RC goodies! ** Correct address is: 2886 Sweetwater Ave. They moved here 8/18 from previous location. read more

Hot Rock Hobbies - Awesome RC toys! - Hobby Shops Near Me - Kingman, Arizona

I have not been there as of yet but plan on it as I need some R/C parts. Called Monday and found from the answering machine that they are open only from Wednesday to Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM... from their answering machine, which is NOT what it says on their website. . 4 stars because at least I found them, their address and hours open. read more

Great place very nice and polite staff who are well versed in their products. I highly recommend.

I love this store but can you guys update your hours to reflect what is true? Yelp and Apple Maps have different hours and I'd like to come in and shop... read more

New owners are awesome. Very friendly, courteous, and professional. Fixed our broken RC gas boat. Eleven cleaned up all the wiring. Looks better than brand new. Can't wait to take it home and run it on the river. read more

Very nice, helps you get everything you need right away. Very cool little place they got.

The husband was awesome. He took the time to teach me a lot about differences in batteries. Unfortunately it didn't plug directly into my car. I went back with the intention of swapping the battery with the correct plug in. The wife was helping on the return trip. As much goodwill trip 1 created she torpedoed it just as fast. She offered to convert my charger to their battery-battery doesn't fit my car, so charging a battery with a new adapter wasn't the solution. I asked if she had an adapter for the battery. She does and we head to the counter. She wanted 6.00 for a .25 piece. I said I just want to return the battery. Then we head down the path of we don't return batteries. You may have used it over the weekend. Huh? In my case, the battery needed an adapter for my car and my charger didn't fit. Finally she returns my money. Not a thank you, bye, or go to he!! was said. Just handed me my money and was mad! Definitely lost a local customer from her "attitude". read more

I visited Hot Rock Hobbies on 8/6/14 at around 11:30am. I was so surprised on how cold the employee was!!! My friend and I were ready to buy 3 RC cars, and they actually had what I wanted. I was buying two for my boys' birthdays and he was buying one for himself. I was in town doing a job and wanted to purchase because Flagstaff doesn't have a Hobby store with RC cars. He had absolutely NO interest in helping us. So there was no way we were going to buy anything from this store. I'm always the one writing nice reviews so it pains me to write this, but it shocked both of us on how we were treated. read more

Great shop!! Nicholas was extremely knowledgeable and Rachel gave this newbie a lot of valuable information about my boat that I didn't know. Highly recommend, and they gave a program that encourages youth! read more

We had a bad experience with another hobby store and an RC boat purchased in Bend Oregon. Rachel and Jeremiah were so helpful! They went above and beyond to get us back on trac! Jeremiah showed me exactly what I needed to do before running the boat and explained how to maintain it after each use. He even showed me how to grease the drive shaft etc. Super nice people. I will recommend them to anyone looking to get into Remotes. Really fun! And nice to have them here in Havasu.....they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. read more

They didn't have a lot of the stuff I was looking for, very low on selection but the lady was nice

Ok .. I do t know what happened to my first review, so you may see 3 from me .. but this place is worth the effort. First, the address on Yelp is wrong. It's still in LHC though. More importantly... I have to post about the Excellent customer service we received here. We're here on vacation from CA.. but were still at the hobby shop almost every day (skate park and sand tires don't mesh well, but that's all we brought for the car) Every experience we had here, they were friendly and helpful read more

This place is great. The owner lady is real nice and was very helpful. They had everything I needed in stock.

Called before I went and they said they had what I needed, showed up an hour later and all the sudden they were out of stock... :( Friendly service but make sure you have them physically check their stock and hold whatever you need!! read more
