There is an underground garage which is locked by key card and has surveillance. We could have set our bikes in the bike racks but as our bikes are rather pricy, we just locked them in our car and assembled them before going on our rides. This worked out perfectly for us. There was direct access to the garage from the hotel. The room was small but had everything we needed. There was no cleaning service because of corona, but that suited us perfectly. When we needed anything we could get it from the nice people in the reception. It's not luxury and if you need a good hair dryer, you should probably bring one. The breakfast was very good and varied with good (I think, homebaked) bread, cornflakes, yoghurt, cheese, jam etc, coffee, juice. When we got back from our rides we REALLY enjoyed the nice terrace where we could get a nice cold beer and water sitting in the sun. Thank you so much to the nice staff in the hotel bar for making our stay so great :-D Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short one night. This was no problem, they didn't charge us for the extra night we had booked. That was really nice. Generally, the staff was very nice and accommodating! I give this hotel my highest recommendation for a stay in Colmar - especially if you need a place to stay for bike trips :-)

Pros: * Great service, staff - room is comfortable with firm bed, small fridge, and hot water pot with instant coffee and tea * Great breakfast in the morning - fresh bread (croissant, pastries, I ate too much), fruits, cold cuts, yogurt - typical European fare that will provide fuel for the day * Bar in hotel - serves a variety of great French wine and decent selection of beer. Cons: * No clock so you will need to use your phone for your alarm * There seems to be only two outlet to use to charge your devices - each are located under the lamps located next to the bed In the resort village, there are many places to stay, if ever in the area again, I will stay in the property again.

The building can be seen from far away as you drive to it, as it is on a hill overlooking the town. It is quite grand. It and its grounds are a sight: the tall tower, incredible architecture, surrounding vineyards, animals on the property, a stork nest on the top of the tower, and very nice decor are all extremely pleasant. The room was very comfortable and, of course, had an amazing view. Parking is easy. The hot tub in the spa is amazing - the best view I have ever had from a hot tub. The hamam, sauna, and pool are nicely maintained. 100% worth stopping to relax during your trip. The service is very friendly, attentive, and helpful. We appreciated the friendliness of the front desk staff. Our only critique is that the bar is never staffed. We waited a while hoping someone would come by so we could order a drink before we finally gave up and left. The view is just so amazing - it would have been really nice to enjoy a cocktail. We absolutely loved our stay here and could not recommend this hotel highly enough.

I would have given it 5 stars but the bathrooms are small and for what you pay I expect a bit more in the room. Having stayed in some nice old hotels before it was missing the grandeur that I have experienced in other small hotels for the same price and the value for money was lacking. The location is amazing and this place is surrounded by vineyards and they have free bikes you can use. There are a number of wineries in the area however most of the good ones are located before Colmar so cycling to some of those might take you some time. They also have an ok tennis court and they have rackets and balls you can borrow if you wanted to play. There a two pools one indoor and one outdoor and both are quite small. It is located up on a hill so you get a great view of Rouffach from up here and it is quite a peaceful location. I would happily come back here again and with a few more touches this place could well be a 5 stars for me.

By the elevators, there is a water station for still and sparkling water. This was my favorite thing. I love good water, and this was always refreshing after a day around town. We had a nice sized room with a wonderful rain shower. Everything we needed was right there. Front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Looking forward to our next visit!

The hotels rooms are all different. I initially was frustrated that I had to move rooms during my stay. However, I ended up moving from what I thought was the most pleasant room ever to an even more pleasant room! I started in a traditional room which was warm and inviting, with hardwood floors, comfortable beds and a great bathroom. Then next night, I moved to the top floor in a suite. This room had a sitting area, huge sleeping area, massive bathroom and a charming beamed ceiling. This room had a great view of the city. The hotel staff moved my belongings between rooms - I almost didn't notice that I had to pack twice. I ate breakfast each day in the hotel and it is not to be missed. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. Coffee, tea, eggs, toasts, cheese, meats. The hotel staff was very friendly - trying to help me find restaurants and spots to visit. They booked taxis as well. When my phone didn't work, the front desk person acted as intermediary between me and my mother. It was a nice touch. All in all, if I visit Colmar again, I will definitely stay at Le Colombier. The hotel is pricey, but worth it for the comfort and convenience. Oh - and the air conditioning works great!!!

The lady at the check-in desk was polite, spoke perfect English and took care of business promptly. I had no issues. The location of the hotel is excellent, located in the core of the city's shopping areas. It is a very short walk from a tram stop or maybe 10 minutes from the Gare de Mulhouse.
