I was here on business and would have preferred to stay at another hotel (next door or across the street) which are comparable in price, and those hotels are much nicer. At least there I get strong internet and am able to get work done. At Hotel Victoria, I checked the WIFI speed which was 0.30 Mbps upload speed, and 0.07 Mbps!!! Are you kidding me??? Horrible wifi. At the hotels across the street and next door, you'll feel more like you are at least getting your monies worth. I feel as if I overpaid for my stay at Hotel Victoria. I will not return here nor will I recommend this hotel, at least if you need internet service. Location.. right next to SBB Train Station. 2 Stars because rooms are a bit outdated, and WIFI service is horrible. Oh, and the street noise... don't bet on getting any rest there.

This the main reason I am writing this review for a hotel. Upon viewing the indoor pool I decided on the spot to extend my stay in Montbeliard, VERY close to the AMAZING PEUGEOT MUSEUM..and host to the worlds CHRISTMAS MARKET. I must go experience this...supposedly there is nothing like it. NOT common in France, spacious rooms..but this hotel had large rooms with bathrooms you would have at the Four Seasons. The staffs treats everybody as though there were royalty....even an orange is deliverd on a beautiful plate on a doily. Any need/request is immediately addressed. As soon as you walk into this hotel, the color pallete and interior design makes it so inviting. Again, the French couldn't do enough for their guests. I am going to have to myth bust the bad rap that the French often get. After spending an extended length of time in this country...I have NOT one complaint. They are a sterling example of great hospitality and pleasing all visitors and doing everything to make them happy. See ya at Christmas time !!!

The building can be seen from far away as you drive to it, as it is on a hill overlooking the town. It is quite grand. It and its grounds are a sight: the tall tower, incredible architecture, surrounding vineyards, animals on the property, a stork nest on the top of the tower, and very nice decor are all extremely pleasant. The room was very comfortable and, of course, had an amazing view. Parking is easy. The hot tub in the spa is amazing - the best view I have ever had from a hot tub. The hamam, sauna, and pool are nicely maintained. 100% worth stopping to relax during your trip. The service is very friendly, attentive, and helpful. We appreciated the friendliness of the front desk staff. Our only critique is that the bar is never staffed. We waited a while hoping someone would come by so we could order a drink before we finally gave up and left. The view is just so amazing - it would have been really nice to enjoy a cocktail. We absolutely loved our stay here and could not recommend this hotel highly enough.

This area of France is renowned for its wine, delicately intense cuisine, and countryside vistas with castles abounding. (Not to mention that this is the region with the most 3-star Michelin restaurants, to boot!) But I digress...the Chateau served us incredible wines starting with apero and continuing through our meal. We tasted the lamb and duck, both divine, along with various sides recommended by the chef. Our servers were cheery but discreet, and our family enjoyed the ambiance and service as much as the food. Stop in this charming jewel of a restaurant, or stay the night if you're fortunate enough! Unfortunately (or fortunately!) our family lives close by, so we missed out on the accommodations, but the location and atmosphere make it seem like you would be living a dream here.

The hotel is an old coach house, which was redone into a hotel with 51 rooms, The decor is a reminder of the age of the place but it is still very cozy and nice. The bed, sink and other things are made of solid old wood and it gives the place old world charm. The upkeep and maintenance leaves to be desired but the place is clean and nice the breakfast is amazing and should be partaken in. :) It also makes a good base for an Alsatian wine trail.

This was especially appreciated since I had accidentally booked a room for 1 versus for the 2 of us. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a kettle. The shower had great water pressure and hot water. There was a bathtub if that would be of interest to you. The parking garage is a quick walk (less than 5 minutes) IF you go the right way - our map app took us around the block vs. a straight line. The breakfast was nice and had excellent croissants.

A continental breakfast is available for 11 euros. Cereals, fruit, charcuterie, nuts, prunes, teas, and amazing BREAD! So fresh! Probably baked just a few hours prior. Rooms are nice, small, but that is very common in Europe. Wifi was spotty, but we would walk down a block to the cafe and was fine. Staff are super friendly and helpful. There's many walkable restaurants, patisseries and the Garden Ice Cafe that stays open till midnight. Most places do close early. A lovely town square park across from the hotel as well. My favorite thing about this place was the hotel cat, Bling-Bling! A calico who is the biggest lover and wants your attention. This made it special for us, missing our pets back home.

However, at 10:30pm, we found out there was no cold water in the shower/tub. The cold water knob would not budge. We had to move all our stuff to room 213, which was slightly smaller. At least our window view was better, sort of. What we thought was a garden from room 212, we found out from room 213 that we were facing a parking lot, a small garden and the back of other buildings. There was a lot of Christmas decorations. It was all a bit too tacky. The hotel has a lot of potential. They just need to invest on a major renovation.
