And new means that everything works - lights, water, etc. Beds are clean and comfortable, paint is fresh, pillows are great. Having just traveled all through Argentina, I can appreciate the value of a new hotel. The staff is very polite, at least one speaks English at all times. First, the downsides: Maya's Restaurant - avoid. It's hotel food. Breakfast is passable - lots of fruit and nut options, eggs are not powdered - but the dinner I had there was very disappointing. Wifi signal is better near the center of the building, spottier near the outside wall. Street noise makes its way in, especially when people are honking nonstop after a Chilean election result is announced. (: Finally, the area is really not the best, and I was warned about this by my bus driver as I departed. There is a tent city in the median, so avoid flashing expensive items or acting lost. They never bothered me once in 3 days. Just do your thing and you'll be fine. The upsides: You are across the street from Terminal Alameda with Turbus and other companies taking you to places all over Chile from there. Walk up to Estación Central a few blocks and you can catch a Turbus or Centropuerto to the airport, or any number of other buses or the Metro around the city. I walked to downtown (Plaza de las Armas and beyond) two of the three days, it's a couple of kilometers but very doable. Lots of great architecture on the way too! And, most of all, the people. They REALLY went above and beyond for me. I had lost luggage. They called my airline carrier. Twice. Because I didn't have a Chilean phone. My luggage arrived the day I needed to leave again - after checking out that morning - and they held onto it and refused a tip. Every single interaction I had with the staff was superb and if I was considering docking a star for Maya's restaurant and the street noise, they earned back even more stars with that. I hope BW management reads this and gives them the bonus money I couldn't.

Excellent craft cocktails We visited the Singular rooftop on a Wednesday night at 5pm in late Spring (late November). We had attempted to stop in for drinks a few days earlier but were told you had to have a reservation or be a hotel guest. Reservations are a must, and can be made easily online! The rooftop restaurant/bar has a well-decorated indoor area and an awesome patio space. The patio has some tables, some outdoor couches/coffee tables and of course a scenic view of San Cristobel. Our friendly server brought us our order of a craft cocktail (hard to pick as they all sounded great!) and a glass of champagne. We just wanted an appetizer before dinner so we did the Chilean meats and cheese board. The board was well-portioned and fairly large for two! We were the first people seated on the patio at 5pm, but by the time we left it was bustling. Highly recommend The Singular rooftop if you are visiting Santiago.

First of all the staff makes me feel ...okay I have to say it....at home. Seriously. everything is quiet. It helps that we are on the Park side of the hotel. But I doubt it's too different on the street side, and the neighborhood is not crazy loud. Ismael is near the Bella's Artes, subways, theaters....It is near GAM...a great entertainment and musuem center. It is in a neighborhood that is lively, full of artists and great restaurants. Museums. And the park is full of families and well behaved dogs..(and remember, they're dogs!). The staff, (the staff!!!) and in particular, Diego, is over the top in skill and support for whatever you request. each of them are attentive, and pleasant.... They are also fun and lively without being Solicitous. If that's the right word. The room service, laundry service...is efficient ....and the overall ambiance is quiet and beautiful. I should add that I spent 25 years as a professional Interior Designer. I pay attention to detail. Like sound attenuation, simple, neutral color, and great materials. I could add more...but simply put, it's the most relaxed, well tuned environment one could ask for on a vacation, as well as work related visit. Bravo, Ismael. The room is medium sized- not as small as some European hotels, but still small enough that we had to rearrange some things to lay out our large suitcases. The bathrooms have nice shampoo, conditioner and soap. The shower gets super hot! The only possible downside of this place is if you have a room facing the main street out front you will hear traffic and people on the streets at night. It wasn't too bad, but not totally peaceful. First, there's a big disconnect between the hotel and the broader Bonvoy program. I used suite night awards toward this reservation, and got an email confirming a suite a few days before my arrival. Despite the confirmation, I was still placed in a standard room. The front desk also came to my room around 1230pm on my final day, asking if I was leaving yet, since standard checkout is at 12pm. The problem is, I indicated late checkout on the app (and when checking in at the front desk), so I was confused why they were pressuring me to leave at the standard time. Finally, the club lounge was never stocked, it was just a glorified seating area more than anything else. Bonvoy issues aside, the room was fine, but a little below expectations for the price. The water pressure in both the shower and toilet was comically low, and very unsatisfying. There was repainting directly across the hall from me, which apparently couldn't wait, and left me huffing paint fumes for the majority of my stay. And the location of this hotel is a little inconvenient relative to most of the major tourist activities, though there are nice restaurants about 10 minutes away on foot. Overall, I think this hotel would benefit from tightening up its operations, in terms of guest placements, check ins/out, and maintenance projects near guest rooms.

I found this bar with my sister two days ago and had a couple of drinks, and a good experience. So we returned. The bartender was great, and there again. We are from the USA, but we understand Spanish. Something that the two people seated behind us did not assume. We ordered drinks - and my sister said to me, they don't think we can understand them, do they? I hadn't been listening until then, but I started. They were talking in extremely derogatory terms and mocking us openly. My sister is younger than me by a decent amount, and at one point the gentleman said that she was most likely sleeping with me so she could afford to keep coloring her hair. I will spare you the rest of the lurid and graphic details, but they wasted no time belittling us and laughing about the possible follies of my "purchased relationship" that they presumed, and all of this was right in front of us. We asked the bar tender if they worked there - because it looked like perhaps a casual business meeting between them - and he confirmed that they were employees of the hotel!! So I just spent time and money going to Renaissance hotel to be out loud mocked and sexually degraded by the staff. I intend to take this to every level of the organization. Pull the tapes renaissance - you will see it. It happened November 26, 2025 in the 18:00 hour. You will see what we experienced. I have been a traveling professional for 30+ years - and have been a pretty loyal Marriott person. I KNOW that this is not what the brand represents or intends - which is why something MUST be done - these people need to lose their jobs. When I got up to leave - because I was not about to listed to more, and cancelled my order - I said to them, in spanish, that I understood them - and he looked surprised and like a juvenile in trouble, but made no attempt to even apologize. It would occur to me that his paycheck may depend on tourists, so he might want to mock them less, and for sure don't make it explicit and sexual. NOT OKAY. NOT AT ALL. I will hope that this review receives a reply from someone who understands what the brand represents and stands for.
