My friend Joe recommended this boutique hotel because of its location near restaurants and shops. The bed was comfortable, the room was immaculate and spacious, the bathroom bright and spotless. I spent US$127 for one night and paid an extra US$45 to extend my checkout until 5pm, as my flight was not until 8:30 pm. I enjoyed its proximity to numerous restaurants and shops. I had dinner at Barrica 94 and lunch at Azul Profundo; both were excellent. I will stay here again the next time I am in Santiago.

AC Hotel by Marriott Santiago Costanera Center - Lobby

Note: you need a reservation in advance as this is a popular place. They also have food options but they are small and expensive. It's worth noting friends enjoyed the food though. The drinks were beautiful and affordable in comparison to U.S. prices. It was 8$ for a mojito at a rooftop bar which is a bargain! They also have mocktail options I tried one of them which was less than 6$ and I enjoyed it. I'd definitely recommend this for a special night out!

I decided a pros and cons list was the best way to sum up my stay: PROs: - I visited in the fall and the USD seems to go a bit further in Chile than expected. That said, my room was a great deal! It was on the 19th floor and had amazing views of the city and the Andes in two separate directions. It also had a massive bathroom and in room tub. - I ordered room service one night when I decided it was too late to venture into the city and find a meal. Once again, very reasonably priced room service and a delicious selection. - The staff was very friendly. Almost everyone spoke English fluently but was more than willing to indulge my attempts at Spanish. CONs: - Unless you are big shopper (this hotel is literally in Costanera Center mall), you are pretty far from some of the main sights in Santiago. However, the metro is nearby and very easy to use. The surrounding area is also safe and easily navigable. - One thing that bugged me was how dirty the windows are. It was a small gripe and certainly cold whether for window cleaning but it would have been nice if they weren't so foggy. All in all, I would recommend a stay here. It was an American style hotel in the heart of a non-touristy part of Santiago. They also have plentiful amenities - rooftop bar, fitness center, parking, etc. Thanks for a great stay!

Got a king bed room in the 01 tier facing the main blvd - was told it's an upgrade so more like a suite with sitting area divided from the bedroom by a heavy duty TV stand with shelves. Overall a very nice room except for one thing - the bedroom shares a wall with the elevator shaft so there is a constant faint but very audible dinging sound all day long except for 5-6 hours in the middle of the night. Mentioned this to the staff, am pretty sure other guests must have noted it before but they said they don't know about it. So just keep this in mind. Can't be sure it's the elevator as you don't always hear it when standing in front of them but there is no other explanation. Other than that, the location is excellent, breakfast with egg station offers a huge selection. Service is good - on day of our departure the front blvd was completely blocked to traffic by a citywide demonstration and we would have missed our flight without the hotel's assistance.

I was so disappointed with this property that I didn't even take pictures! I gave it 3 stars…read morebecause of the location, the doormen, bellhop and Diego. First, I booked this hotel because of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. It being under Marriott, I had expectations. Let's start with the structure. We were greeted warmly by the hotel doorman. The lobby was small but clean. There are 2 high tables in the side where you can sit and charge your devices. Otherwise, there are only 2 chairs at the lobby that is available for when you have other companions waiting while you do your business at the reception desk. There is a small waiting area next to the reception desk. Then the restaurant. I don't know how big the restaurant is because I didn't even access it. The 2 elevators are small, probably fits 6 people but efficient. We got a room at the end and it was reportedly a deluxe room with 2 double beds. I guess that's what I booked for. Anyways, the room smelled of an old building. The bathroom was standard. Nothing in it felt like it was a Marriott property. It's the same tier as the Courtyard but felt like a much lower category. Second, I can commend the old doormen who always has a smile on their face when they open the door for you. The old gentleman/bellhop who helped us with our luggage was also adorable and showed pride in his job. I cannot say the same of Natalia, the front desk lady who helped us check in. She was so cold and not very helpful. She was very stingy with her smile and didn't look like she wanted to be there. She didn't even acknowledge my status as a Titanium Elite member. I am not trying to be a primadonna but that is customary of ALL Marriott properties. I asked her about the area and where to get Traditional Chilean food and she was directing us to somewhere far. Come to know from our tour guide that there was one not too far from the hotel. We got more info about the area from our tour guide. Diego, the afternoon front desk person, though, was excellent. He helped us book our restaurant reservations twice as well as our transport to the restaurants and airport. Third, the amenities. The towels were worn out. We had to ask for our daily complimentary bottled water, coffee and tea, which are normally replenished when the room is cleaned. And when we asked for the coffee, the housekeeping brought only decaffeinated k-cups. When we asked if they had regular coffee, she stared at us and said they don't have regular coffee. I may sound like I'm griping but it is a Marriott property. If it was a different brand hotel, I probably would have been okay. It's literally an "expectation vs reality" experience. I would still recommend this place for the location. A lot of nice restaurants around. But definitely needs a lot of improvement within.

Four Points is probably a solid 3 stars. It's fairly close to the international airport (about a 20…read moremin taxi ride) and in the heart of an amazing province. The hotel itself seems like it was thrown together quickly and has nothing special or warm about it. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. My husband and I aren't fluent in Spanish so it's a little difficult getting around. However, the staff at Four Points are almost fluent in English and helped us navigate as we all get us a taxi for a specified time. As for the lobby, it's not very welcoming and there's nothing special about it. It has a motel feel to it. The elevators are sketchy and bounce around a bit. The room was lackluster and not well designed at all. The wallpaper is nice but then it kind of just fell flat from there. Nothing matched (green corduroy chair, red and black office chair on wheels, green recycle bin with stickers peeling off, white and red striped curtains...you get the idea). It looked like a garage sale of a room. The bathroom was large but the floor was dirty. The shower had great water pressure and the water temperature was amazing. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash smelled phenomenal (which I LOVE hotels with great scents). There is room service but we didn't use it/need it. The hotel is located right on a restaurant-filled street. We ate next door at a burger place and it was SO good (highly recommend). The property is located near the mall (which has a grocery store inside), Sky tower, Hard Rock Cafe, etc. and walkable friendly. It really has a prime location. So if you're looking for a quick and cheap one or two night stay, this is an okay hotel. As for amenities, design, and comfort...I would look elsewhere.
