So I have stayed at this location 3 out of the 4 times I have traveled to Gdl. This hostel has a…read moreunique vibe that sets it apart from other hostels. The energy that flows through this place garners a sense of community among the guests. I've stayed at other hostels and none have brought everyone together as well as Hospedarte has. The owners and staff are amazing which is one of the greatest assets to this place. This location is nestled in a quiet neighborhood that is only a minute walk to the main Chapultapec avenue. From this spot you can enjoy a relaxing setting yet have easy access to nearby bars, restaurants, clubs and shopping centers. It is father from the historic Centro when compared to their newer downtown location. So if you want more of a city hussle and bussle feel, then book their downtown local. The accommodations are quite comfortable whether you're looking for affordable dorm living or a more private setting. If you do infact get a private room, ask for the one that opens to the terrace. From there you feel like you have a magical rooftop garden all to yourself. They have ample amenities: wifi, laundry, kitchen, showers, etc. What makes them especially unique is their daily activity board which gives everyone an opportunity to get to know Guadalajara in a new fun way each night. The owners and staff know what's up so ask them for ideas and they are willing to help you out. To sum up, you must stay here if you're ever in GDL. You will not regret it!

I spend 4 days and 4 nights here during my recent trip…read more The location is superb, it is 2 blocks from Templo Expiatorio del Santísimo Sacramento, and Parque Revolución. Which is great. There are few convenient stores that sells soda, beer and snacks. It is about 1 mile (1.7 KM) to the Plaza de Cruz area (the four major plazas surrounding the Catedral de Guadalajara). My private room is clean, although no AC, so it can be hot at night (They do have a fan in the room). If you are staying at the room that next to the street, and since I have to leave the window open at night, it is a bit noisy at night because people are talking outside or playing loud music in their car (not the hostel's fault though). Shared bathroom (although it is small, but it is cleaned every day). If you are light sleeper, and don't want to get up and walk across the whole house to use the bathroom at night, you might want to get a room in the middle of the house. The noise and long walk to the bathroom didn't bother me though. Free Wifi and connection is great. They lock the door throughout the day which made me feel safe, just remember to bring your key. The owner provided alot of information on where to go and where to eat. Overall, great hostel for my trip. Thanks!

All the staff members we met were all super nice and spoke english well. Our private room was actually in a separate building across the street and was HUGE! We had a king bedroom with our own private bathroom and a balcony! The place was clean and the bed was super comfortable! The restroom was very modern and had plenty of hot water and good water pressure! They offer super basic breakfast (toast, cereal, juice) which we did not partake as it did not satisfy our needs. We also didn't get to do the free walking tour because the guide called in sick but the hostel did help us book our tequila tour, which is a MUST DO when you are here! The ONLY issue I had was that the location is right in the center of the city so there are shops just below us on the first floor and during the day, they would play SUPER loud music so if I wanted to nap or have some quiet time, it was a bit irritating. But this would not keep me staying here again! Met some other travelers and had a great time here!
