Visited The Purple Pig for the first time on Labor Day…read more As far as antique stores in downtown Cadiz are concerned, this one was my favorite. The store is all one-level, clean, big, open with lots of lighting. Antique stores can be dark and dingy, but not here. Vendors rent booth space and it appeared that most of the booths were well-maintained and nicely stocked. I loved the Pyrex booth. We spent about 45 minutes here. I carried around a couple of things I liked, but ultimately decided to put them back. I didn't need them and and surprisingly found something similar at the consignment shop up the street for less $ anyway. Friendly ladies working. Gossipy, but friendly. Masks were not required here and the ladies working weren't wearing them. Most of the customers were, so that was nice to see. Recommend.

Visited Consignment World today for the second time in a few years…read more My in-laws vacation in Kentucky every summer, so we always hit the antique and consignment shops during our trip. After visiting three other antique stores in Cadiz on Labor Day, we had the most luck here. Consignment World sells antiques, more modern items, new and handmade items. Individuals rent their own booth space and can fill them with whatever merchandise they want. Store is quite large; primarily clothing in the front and housewares, home decor, toys, artwork, collectibles and furniture in the back half of the store. I spent about $40 on several things---mostly vintage/modern items that will make great gifts this upcoming holiday season. I even scored a great deal on macrame cord. We were here for at least an hour and could have stayed longer---didn't even make it to the clothing area. Vendors set their own prices and I found them to be really reasonable. Super friendly staff. You can easily social distance in the store. Highly recommend!

This place has great potential. There is a refrigerated section that you may miss. Great selection…read moreof produce. Friendly enough people. Lots of plants and flowered. However I am really bothered by the condition of the puppies. The reeked of manure and urine. Flies all around them. One seemed not well and these were 8 wk old pups. Who should be fully vaccinated before being sold. No water for them either, and no one tending to them. This place seems to be on a personal farm/home property. So the majority of the produce I assume is from the many fields around it. Anyway. There is an ethical way to sell animals. This is not it

The price for their produce is excellent. We bought an entire box of produce for $5 and made a wonderful pot roast the next day. We also bought some jelly, pickled eggs, and pickled beets. I'm sorry to say that every single canned item was either moldy or rancid when we opened it. Of the $40+ we spent at this local business, more than $30 on canned items, most of our money was completely wasted. The reason for 3 stars is because of the friendly service and the delicious vegetables. I hope the owner reads this review and addresses the quality issues with her more expensive items.

I found some really beautiful items here today. I'll definitely be back, but will likely wait…read moreuntil Fall. There's so much to look at and it's very nicely done. They provide carts for shopping, which is really nice if you have mobility issues and need something to hold on to while walking. I could spend hours in there under cooler temps. I would recommend that if you are sensitive to the heat to choose a cooler time of the year to go shopping here. Today is August 23rd and even though it was an inside flea market it was very warm in there, very little air conditioning or air movement at all. The other thing I would like to add is pay attention to whether the booth you are buying from is running a sale. One of my items was supposed to be 20% off but you have to let the cashier know about each booth sale or apparently you won't get the posted discount. This was my first time shopping here, so I wasn't aware of that and missed getting my discount. Overall it's a great place to find unique items and fun to see all the old things from the past.

Vendors rent booth space and set their own prices -- like all other antique shops in the area. If you really like to look at everything, plan to spend a couple of hours here. I've only been able to visit on actual holidays; so far they've been open on July 4th and Labor Day. I left having spent a few bucks on some fabric scraps that will get turned into masks. Great prices in the fabric booth. 5/5 stars because they were asking customers to wear face coverings via signs posted on their doors. Thank you !Employees were wearing them as well once customers were ready to check-out. Recommend.
