Hi, I wanted to take a moment to thank this staff so much from the bottom of my heart for your care…read morefor my best friend when she was sick and vulnerable. The professionalism and knowledge on each stage was so helpful. This is my 1st experience with death up close and personal. Each nurse and CNA that came on shift was helpful and attentive to my sweet friend. You helped her die with dignity. The way you bathed her, washed her hair, brushed and braided her hair. Also I'd like to say thank you for helping me get through the hard parts and for helping me see how important is was to share my heart with her as I sat by her side. I have no regrets as to the last few days of her life. I know my beautiful friend was shedding the burdensome body that caused her pain and suffering for so long and your staff from the 1st to the last nurse I met helped her do that in such a meaningful and kind way. Thanks for giving me a safe comfortable place to sleep and for the amazing meals you brought me, when I was totally starving. Someone always checked on my well being. When I die I want to come there. Sincerely Dee Dee

We have used Compassus twice for Dad and both times there was little or no communication from them…read moreto us. There were Issues with his medications getting refilled on time. There was no conversation with dad about his goals until we asked them to have the conversation. There was no call from them with sympathy upon his death and they also sent out the one nurse he requested not to ever visit him upon his death. Thank goodness his long term care home turned that nurse away. We have no issues with the doctors. I would not recommend Compassus.

My mom was in the care of this hospice after she had a stroke and I could not have been more…read moreimpressed with both the lovely facility and the quality of the care. I have had other experiences with hospices, all of them positive, but this one excelled. The care was extraordinarily competent and respectful. As family, we were cared for right along side the dying person. Best of all, this hospice works on a sliding scale thanks to generous donors, and my mom, who had few resources, got world class care at a price that she could afford. I can't say enough about Verde Valley Hospice and will always be deeply grateful to the goodness experienced at such a difficult time in my life.

Verde Valley…read moreCommunity Hospice was established by two passionately devoted firefighters, Trent Adams and Billy Hayes, who each have served for over three decades. Trent and his wife Sheila, a Registered Hospice Nurse, along with Billy, share the same passion to provide quality palliative end-of-life care throughout the Verde Valley community. It is a direct result of the nature of their years in the Fire Department of caring for those who have encountered traumatic events, that they understand how important it is to support those finding themselves in difficult situations. They have witnessed a multitude of fellow humans who have encountered unexpected & painful situations, such as the sudden death of a loved one, heart attacks and serious falls. This has driven them to create a hospice team based on Love & Compassion, which operates under a philosophy of Prevention, Education, Hope, and Care for one another during our end-of-life time.
