In short words, Winward is our favorite place to be and will be yours too…read more We came for a tour and instantly fell in love. Our 12 year old daughter got in the car after our tour and said "this is the place." Within the next week we moved our pony in. We absolutely love Carly (owner and trainer). She's down to earth, understands the kids and always makes you feel apart of what's going on- on top of all her knowledge about horses, their care and training. Our pony is happier than ever and you can see it in her. The other boarders are so welcoming. It's a perfect mix of kids and adults. Definitely add Winward to your places to tour if you're looking for a loving home for your horse.

Every person that goes to that barn, weather they board, lease, or just take lessons is extremely nice, welcoming, positive and supportive. No matter the show you go to every single person will wish you good luck and is super motivating. It is a beautiful property with great field for turnout, a nice and well kept indoor and outdoor arena, clean and spacious stalls, and a cute and cozy tack room. Carly has a great training style and took me from just barely trotting to placing 2nd at IEA National Finals at Tryon NC in just 2 years. Every ribbon I've ever earned is with Winward. Carly has a great eye in choosing the most perfect ponies for everyone. Every horse that Carly has ever found for me has been a perfect fit. This barn is a great place for all types of rides and their horses. Winward is not only a great place to improve your riding, but to also make some lasting memories, and life long friends. Love this place.

Baymar Farms is a lesson stable on Harbor Road in Morganville right off of Route 9. I hadn't…read moreridden in a number of years and was looking to get my legs back before I delved further into the horse world and Baymar Farms was a great place to do it. When I called the, the owner Ellie answered the phone quickly and enthusiastically, referring me to her instructor Lu Ann. At my first lesson they matched my ability perfectly. Lu Ann was terrific - patient, knowledegable, and encouraging - just the right touch with me. She was great with her more advanced riders as well. At each lesson I was given a different horse and all were responsive and well trained. I was able to get a feel for how different each horse was to be ridden. These patient, safe lesson horses are great for those just starting out or just restarting out like myself, lol. I bought a lesson card and the pricing was fair. Overall- good pricing, Good horses and well kept stables. Recommend!

I actually found out about this private farm and their horseback rides through my girlfriend who knew one of the trainers, Kacie. She took the both of us out on a trail through the Laurita Winery. Kacie was first-rate the entire riding experience which started in helping us mount and get acquainted with our horse and then through the entire ride in giving instruction on how to steer the beautiful animals. Through it all, Kacie took pictures on her iPhone. When the ride was complete, she air-dropped all of them onto my phone. Now we have a few dozen photos of our afternoon. The horseback ride rate was very reasonable at $60 an hour per person. Really, it's well worth the cost if you have never been on the back of a horse before. I can't say enough great things about our ride and having Kacie as a host. We are definitely coming back towards the fall and doing this ride again.
