Contacted hotel, and owner emailed me that if I canceled through Expedia he would then charge me only for the two remaining rooms. Expedia customer service could not get a hold of the hotel so owner emailed me that he would take care of it. I sent the owner a credit card so he could charge the two remaining rooms. My two friends ended up not going so I emailed the owner and told him that they were not coming and to charge the two rooms to my credit card if he could not re-rent hem. He ended up not canceling the Expedia reservation and charged me for all three rooms. I emailed him why he had charged me for three rooms and he said that I had not canceled the Expedia reservation. When I forwarded the email to him that he said he would do it, he wrote that he charged all three rooms because nobody showed up. I had told him in advance that nobody would show up so no surprise there. To make a long story short I question the credibility of management/ownership of this hotel. You should owner your commitments. I will most definitely not make any future reservations at this hotel.

The terrace allows a great view over the lake to the mountains in Switzerland. However, one day was cloudy with bits of rain - this was the day we visited the thermal baths across the road. If you're into wellness then you get anything you like from massages to facials and relaxation exercises. It is also worth mentioning the excellent food of chef Michael Off. His speciality is local fish from the lake combined with some lovely side dishes. The only thing to criticise would be the distance to the centre which is about 5-10 min to walk. Its a nice walk along the lake, but could be a bit far for elderly people. Overall, we can only recommend this family-run hotel.

The room we requested was provided, the front desk provided complete information, and we settled in for a week. Breakfast: was awesome. The chef has an affinity to chives. I have an allergy to chives. No problem. He custom made my requests to my liking. The Bar: open to 1:AM every night. The bartenders are friendly and able to make my favorite, a perfect Manhattan with Salmon (I'm a cat, ya know). We had the best time and couldn't say enough good things about this hotel.

I was in the back house and the rooms were clean, comfortable and newly renovated (freshish paint and very modern). Bed was comfortable and the gummy bears were a nice touch. I only wish I had figured out how to close the shutters because those birds started chirping very early!!! Breakfast was OK, but I would have been happier if the bread was all fresh from that morning, not the day before. I left as a satisfied customer and would stay there again! **if you're driving, beware you need to park around 200 meter away in the lake parking garage.
